Ball change in tests in England favoring the home side

What's up with the frequent change of balls every time English bowlers go on a prolonged wicketless stretch.

 

Saw this in 2022 5th test where they whined, cried and got ball replaced 5-6 times, maybe more.

 

Then 2023 Ashes, Aussies on receiving end. Ponting, Cummins were pissed off with the ball change in Oval test and made their displeasure known in media. 

 

Today they have changed the ball 3-4 times just because WI offered resistance.

Have to be wary of these underhand tactics next year when we tour. Pressure must come from the Indian media and TM. Is Dukes complicit in this? If their ball quality is so bad only when England is bowling, maybe they should be phased out of international cricket. Use Kookaburra, SG.

Eng's mantra - no wkt for 15 overs, must be something wrong with the ball.

 

And you're correct, have never seen visiting teams get the same treatment. If Duke ball can't even last 80 overs, either change the supplier or changethe manufacturer. Go with SG or Kookaburra balls but changing balls every few overs is a huge disadvantage to the batting team.

And yes need to be aware of these ball change tactics... I am sure GG won't take all that stuff lightly if it happens or even Rohit.

Changed twice in 15 minutes that I watched. 

 

Eng commentators as usual will avoid these touchy topics, their vocabulary is limited to 'in these conditions' every time Eng step out of home.

Yup, GG is street-smart that way. He'll absolutely push back at it. Probably push for ball changes of our own if nothing's happening with the ball.

How'd the Aussies let them get away with it? It's some thing they will latch onto immediately because they themselves are not beyond it.

Aussies were on the back-foot due to sandpaper-gate, and weren't in a position to push at that point. Plus they had that useless Paine as captain who probably didn't even know what was going on. Now it'll be different.

The Dukes quality went down the toilet in 2022.

 

Since then, if the ball doesn't move, England will make sure that they throw the ball hard on the bounce and bend it out of shape. 

 

Repeat till they get one that swings/reverses. 

 

This is the 4th ball in 68 overs.  Stokes getting reverse so they'll stick with this for now.

Hamere log toh bekaar mein badnaam hai. Even when we try to press for home advantage it often ends up blowing on our faces, like BGT Indore test or WC final. Even Pak curators make lives easier for visitors. 

 

Goras are masters at organized cheating and gaining home advantage. Just do what is necessary, with subtlety and their experts, commentators spin stories to portray them as morally superior. Whilst giving moral science lessons to savages from SC and WI. Our sepoys too lap it up, legacy of colonialism and low self esteem. 

 

And ICC for cricketing purposes will always be the Imperial Cricket Council, no matter how rich BCCI gets. For instance had an Indian venue prepared an equivalent of Cape Town test pitch from earlier this year (entire test lasted 93 overs!!!!) that venue would have been blacklisted for 20 years and sepoys/coolies would still be crying about all things India.

Can you do this and keep getting away with it? It sounds too blatant tbh.
