Prakat
NEW YORK (AP) — Kamala Harris is smashing fundraising records as the Democratic Party’s donors — big and small — open their wallets for the vice president in the immediate aftermath of President Joe Biden’s stunning decision to step aside. In total, Harris’ team raised more than $81 million in the 24-hour period since Biden’s announcement, campaign spokesperson Kevin Munoz said Monday. The massive haul, which includes money raised across the campaign, the Democratic National Committee and joint fundraising committees, represents the largest 24-hour sum reported by either side in the 2024 campaign. Harris’ campaign said it was the largest single-day total in U.S. history. “The historic outpouring of support for Vice President Harris represents exactly the kind of grassroots energy and enthusiasm that wins elections,” Munoz said. Hours earlier, Future Forward, the largest super PAC in Democratic politics, announced it had secured $150 million in commitments over the same period from donors who were “previously stalled, uncertain or uncommitted,” a senior adviser said. BacktoCricaddict
She should have also saved the $8000 that came from Don Thatha and his family a decade ago. Quote As Kamala Harris appears poised to replace Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee, a past connection between herself and Donald Trump has garnered interest: the GOP nominee once donated to her re-election campaign while Harris was serving as California attorney general. From 2011 to 2013, Trump gave $6,000 to Harris’s campaign. Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, also donated $2,000 to Harris in 2014. "Anti-establishment," indeed. Quote Trump: 'I've given to everybody' News about the donation first started to circulate in 2020, when Harris was running as Biden's Vice President. USA TODAY's Fact Check explored the claim then and rated it True, noting: "Though Donald Trump has a history of derisive comments about Harris since taking office, political contribution data, reviewed by USA TODAY on the California Secretary of State website show he gave $5,000 to Harris during her first bid for attorney general in 2011 and $1,000 in 2013 during her reelection. Ivanka Trump contributed $2,000 in 2014 for Harris' reelection campaign." In 2015, Harris redistributed the donations by giving the funds to a nonprofit focused on Central American civil rights. “It’s interesting: I was looking at the ones I’m running against. I’ve contributed to most of them. Can you believe it?” Trump said while campaigning in 2016. “I’ve given to Democrats. I’ve given to Hillary. I’ve given to everybody! Because that was my job. I gotta give to them. Because when I want something, I get it. When I call, they kiss my (expletive).” https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/07/21/donald-trump-donation-kamala-harris-campaign-california/74493046007/

As a candidate, he was no good too. But, He won an election and lost one fair a square. I thought he was the worst candidate in 2016. But Kamala has lowered the bar and she is the worst nominee if she gets on the ballot. Trump at least has a “starting no new wars” legacy unlike even Obama or Old Joe Edited July 23 by coffee_rules

Quote https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/05/politics/maga-inc-trump-election/index.html One of Donald Trump’s leading super PACs told donors it raised nearly $70 million in May and shared plans to spend $100 million this summer in key battleground states, according to a copy of a memo sent Tuesday and obtained by CNN. Taylor Budowich, the CEO of Make America Great Again, Inc., laid out the PAC’s strategy to boost Trump in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada and Arizona – all states that the former president narrowly lost in 2020 and that remain competitive four years later. The document, sent to CNN by a source who received it, serves as a marker for how top Trump allies see his pathway to securing the 270 electoral votes needed to secure victory in November. No, is just seemed like you were singling her out for raking in the cash via PACs. I was just pointing out that it is par for the course. And one should thank the Repubs for Citizens United. 55 minutes ago, coffee_rules said: no indication of public approval of Harris. She has not won a primary. Totally agree. At least DJT has grassroots mandate from his base. 55 minutes ago, coffee_rules said: Will you vote for her, now that Biden is out? Don't know. In my mind, the only reason I might vote for her is that she is not DJT.. Who knows? In the moment, I might vote for Mr. "Literally Anybody Else". But in a swing state like NC, that is a vote for DJT. Neevu? BTW, it is stunningly naive for DJT supporters to think that he is some sort of messiah who will deliver them freedom from the establishment. It never works that way. He will create his own establishment and amass power and control. The anti-establishment movement is simply a wannabe establishment movement. Sab kaminey hai. True live-and-let-live libertarianism has all but disappeared.

I don't hate DJT so much to vote for Kamala. He is not that bad for the country/democracy/constitution as he is made out to be, but doesn't get my vote. I am in a Blue state, so my vote doesn't count, Kamala or a Lettuce head will win for Democrats. But I feel Kamala is totally iundeserving of any moderate vote, she is a total airhead. When why does he keep crying about the election. I don't agree that we won all fair and square. He lost on popular vote, and since then, has been questioning the ballot. The event at US capitol was murder of democracy. Russia indirectly helped him by campaigning against Hillary. It was behind email leaks. As a result, Trump has been happy losing everything to Russia. Not even once, he has admitted that he was lucky to win, and has been spreading conspiracies after a clear loss.
