Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar were OG superstars from the 50s.

 

Azmi/Patel (along with guys like Om Puri, Naseruddin Shah etc) were the first batch of actors who came through drama school and acted in 70s-80s parallel films. Basically a progenitor to guys like Nawazuddin, Rajkumar Rao, Irfan Khan etc.
