Two days after he was granted bail and walked out of prison after six months, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced his shock resignation from the top post at a party meeting this afternoon. "Two days later, I will resign as Chief Minister. I will not sit on that chair till the people announce their verdict. Elections in Delhi are months away. I got justice from the legal court, now I will get justice from the people's court. I will sit on the Chief Minister's chair only after the order of the people," he said.

Agreed that this has been a masterstroke from Kejriwal...terrific move.

Modi should have done the same after failing to secure full majority in general elections. BJP should have refused to form govt with alliance, ask INDI alliance to form govt and watch the fun from sideliners.

It would have been difficult for INDI alliance to come to a general consensus of who will become the PM as everyone is aspirational, it would have caused the alliance to have been exposed & broken, govt would have fallen and BJP could have won with full majority in re-election.

Kejriwal is smarter than BJP in that aspect

yep Kejriwal acts better than seasoned politicians. If not for BJP, he might not have been caught even.

When Kejriwal was in prison, Everyone tried to proove his loyality including his wife.

At the time , he didn’t risk power to Atishi. Now he is out so thinks he can manage.

Kudos to Aatishi, we can all say her acts in media were lowest of lows and shameless, But she beat everyone in AAP to get DelhiCMship
