You can pretty much have a side with some 125kmph dibbly dobbly bowler and a series of LA spin and can have good season...

Did you see the amount of chances put down on bowling of Yudhvir..atleast 3 catches behind the wickets.

 

Fielders are just not capable enough against that kind of pace. Edges go for 4s and thats where 125kph trundlers are handy coz their deliveries trundle to boundary slowly.

Easier to sit back, relax and chill.

No reason why the veterans like Rishi Dhawan, Jaydev Unadkut & Sandeep Sharma make the merry out of it.

Pointed this out multiple time, one reason of these 125 kmph bowlers make it to teams over proper fast bowler, fast bowers goes for 4/6 with edges and drives and flicks also go for 4.

these 125 kmph bowler gives the chances to take catches by wk, drives/flicks/edges does not fly to boundary gives time to fielders to chase and cut them.

 

This is the same reason Ind team preferring (in t20is) ~140 kmph bowler who are capable of bowling yorker here and there- Avesh,  mukesh, kamboj all fall in this bracket

It's same everywhere England, Australia, NZ. all these places mostly trundlers, swing bowlers are more successful in domestic cricket.

Pitches who has life will encourage bowlers to bend their back and bowl quick.

And very accurate especially the OZ ones. Release speeds may be low but release heights are high and they  all bowl with a proper snap that puts a lot of backspin etc

I have found basically most SENA trundlers are accurate unlike ours

Ours tend to give flurry of boundaries in overs

accuracy is built-in thing not a quality/skill for them.

It comes if you have a repeatable action.

Problem is our trundlers who take wickets in heap in domestics are undercooked for internationals...they are forced to reinvent and in process ruin whatever accuracy they have. 

Biggest example Bhuvaneshwar Kumar...was quite accurate but simply underwhelming for internationals. Tried to modify himself and in process lost everything.

Their learning curve is a longer one for international cricket. And not just for trundlers but even those who are genuine prospects. Those that hit the ground running immediately and don't face any challenges are rare exceptions likr Bumrah. Ishant himself took a long time.

I think in modern times only Bumrah and to some extent Shami has been able to prove themselves immediately.

Umesh & Siraj has blown hot and cold, one series they look exemplary, next they look third grade.
