Sanju Samson - had enough of him

Can we finally end this great Indian experiment? Failed in SL, and hasn't done much at home against B'desh. In fact a newcomer and youngster Nitish Reddy has done more in one game today than Samson's entire T20 career. That too when Samson has played as opener as well and has been given every opportunity to succeed. He simply doesn't have it in him to play at intl level.

 

I would rather play Nitish, Venky Iyer, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel ahead of him. Countless opportunities and no performances. If Samson didn't have the political backing and support he has, he wouldn't even have made anywhere close to the team.

He's a keeper bat. Abhishek Porel should come in.

Samson best format is ODI in the middle order. But Pant and KL are already ahead of him.

It should be end of the road of him. But he will be in the fringes when India send B team to tours.

I do agree that Samson is not a dependable player but the ball stopped on him today and did the same for SKY also.

And his keeping sucks as well. Both Pant and Jurel are much better keepers along with countless others.

Pant is not there for this tour.  Personally I think Abhishek Porel should be groomed in this format at least.

I wouldn't drop Pant or even KL to fit in Samson. It says a lot that even a manhoos KL is an upgrade over Samson.

No matter the occasion, he always finds a way. Got ducks in SL, failed against B'desh at home. If he can't do anything here against these opponents, what's the point?

Kept in the team to pacify his fanatic base in Kerala, also Tharoor regularly plays the victim and discrimination card if he is not played so difficult to drop him.

Likely end of the road in T20s. 

He might still get the next game because it is a dead rubber. They might bring in Jitesh as the keeper and rest Pandya.

Hope so as any wk option - Jitesh, Jurel, Pant, KL - is better than him.

Washington's name was inspired by an Army officer who was his neighbor.

Samson is a Mallu Christian. Many mallu Christians have a Hindu sounding first name and a Christian last name

No, he's a Christian. His wife is a Hindu. Washington Sundar is a Hindu for sure, some story about his first name being inspired by his father's coach.
