Ayush Mhatre :Mumbai prodigious talent

For me prodigy is player who can be our No 4 in test cricket for 10+ years.

 Chennai Super Kings handed out a debut  Ayush Mhatre, now their youngest player at the age of 17 years and 278 days.

 

It was also a T20 debut for Mhatre, who is yet to play T20s for his domestic team Mumbai.

This kid is a smart kid.  He surveys the field every ball and picks his area.  He needs a bit more power for lofted shot. He looks more organized than Sarfraz who gets into awkward positions.

Rohit has same stature, similar batting style and his batting is more Rohit Sharma than anyone else. I think at the same age, he is better than what Rohit was and I have seen Rohit bat at u19 level for India.

Not quiet sure. When I first saw Rohit in challenger trophy I called him left handed Yuvi as he has same sense of timing. Mhatre is not quiet there. Rohit was a touch player.
