India has definitely changed under BJP and change is not unexpected if you look into Modi,s history and his role in Gujrat massacre and rise in prominence as a reward of that tragedy.

But anti Hindu paxtan is still the same

Terrorists then ,terrorists now

Terrorists forever

It is hard for me to say what has been done to meet FATF regulations but I think we can all accept that these measures only plug the most blatant gaps. I am sure ISI doesn't advertise their sponsorship or support..plus the track record of housing Osama and saying they have no idea does not make anyone trust these proclamations. We all know who controls FATF and why countries are put or removed from the list.

With that said, Pakistan has not taken any steps to conclusively show that they have turned a page..handing over the terrorists for justice to India, saying the kashmir issue will be resolved by talks or respecting loc ..such steps would definitely be reciprocated...as an Indian aside from the Bhakts who are rabid anti Muslim similar to some people on your end of the border..most normal folks in India are pissed because of terrorists sponsored by Pakistan and that creates a very negative impression. Constructive steps on your side like handing over the terrorists and dismantling terror camps and stopping their funding would be reciprocated for sure. Getting in and out of FATF doesn't meet our concerns related to terrorism.

FATF is a credible body. It’s possible it doesn’t meet all the concerns, but it is very ironic and telling how it continues to be ignored and hidden in the news.

Bhikaris don't have any other option than to wag their tails and agree to the hybrid model. They can't afford to pull out nor have an India-less tournament which will have the broadcasters squeezing ICC's ballz. That will be a death knell to any future ICC events returning to their sorry country.

Ofcourse, all this could have been avoided had they just been a normal sane country and not tried to "hurt" India

with their little chihuahua bites every now and then. Their small dog syndrome towards India has doomed their entire existence in every way possible but still they do not seem to have learnt the lesson.

Right considering the thread is now filled with insult exchanging as opposed to serious intellectual discussions. I want to pose a question:

Lets assume going forwards, India and Pak do not play together in ICC events ( presumably if Pak takes the stand of forfeiting the games- i mean as a Indian fan I would have liked to see India do this for the last decade but oh well), what actual impact will this on the ICC in absolute numbers. in 2007 when there was no Ind Pak clash and early exists for both, the ICC didnt make much money and since then they have made sure that at least one India Pak match is there in every ICC event to basically make money. Now in the scenario if Pak forfeits every ICC match with India;

1. What will be the revenue loss for ICC and what does it mean for them?

2. What will be the impact on other boards including Pak who get shares from ICC revenue

3. Will there be a material impact on BCCI? Its revenue was $230 mil last year. Lets assume this is cut by half if ICC loses revenue. Does BCCI geet affected or do they make it up with IPL rights. Will this prompt them to dump international cricket and play IPL all year around?

Pak will only chose this option if it materially affects BCCI financially so will have a leverage, if it doesn't then would Pak would have to go to the tunes of BCCI as without it, the only Boards suffering financially is PCB?

Can we have a civilized discussion on this point?

Ind vs Pak is a red herring, no one with half a functioning brain can claim that just one match generates so much more than any other, including finals, for the ICC - that's not how things work & ads aren't booked just for this one game. Ok some might be, but they're sold in lots/bulk as well as spot based. The common thread of course being India - without that not many games are worth * all.

If ICC cuts India's share by half then the others would probably go bankrupt :cantstop:

Maybe so, byt why is ICC hellbent on putting India Pak in the same group every tournament- if you think it's not lucrative for tv rights as it used to be then ICC would have realised this and out them in separate groups.

This is correct but most of the buyers of rights put up for sale are backwards looking as that is where the data points. So they just look at the ad sales and viewerships of the previous India/Pak encounters since it is a focus of the 2 nations with the largest cricket watching populations.

Things have changed but it will take time for them to catch up.

The correct current metric would be to maximise the product with India playing England and Australia in tests and the knockout stages of the white ball tournaments.

FATF is a credible body as western bloc led bodies are. It was covered when Pakistan entered the list and when they got out of it ..in-between Mullah Omar or someone else was given up by someone. I am not saying FATF is fake or Pakistan did or did not come out of it...it is just that Pakistan has done nothing to stop terrorism against India .it houses the terrorists who can freely give speeches, trains the terrorists, fires on the border, and send them to India to kill Innocents....none of these have changed. FATF is like how all restaurants are Zagat listed, ..it's the bare minimum..most countries don't even have to worry about it

I get where you’re coming from and completely agree—these organizations should be banned, eliminated, and everyone responsible for 26/11 must face justice.

That said, it’s not as straightforward as it seems. Demands like extraditing specific individuals or sharing lists aren’t the only solutions; we need pragmatic, politically feasible approaches. Just like in India, where politics often caters to nationalist and extreme agendas, Pakistan faces its own challenges and sensitivities, making it difficult to act decisively on these groups without facing serious repercussions.

India’s hardline stance often feels like political posturing for domestic audiences rather than a real push for peace. If peace and prosperity are truly the goal, India could focus on building bridges—through trade, sports, and cultural exchanges—instead of reinforcing its “regional bully” image that neighbors frequently criticize. After all, the Olympics were created to foster unity and peace, and that same spirit could help in South Asia too with cricket .

The ICC's long-term survival would be difficult without India and Pakistan playing each other. While the ICC could still generate revenue, losing these matches could slash overall earnings by 20-30%. Considering most businesses operate with profit margins below 30%, such a loss could make ICC tournaments financially unviable. Without full financial transparency, it’s hard to say definitively, but few organizations can survive a 30% revenue cut. Bilateral cricket, which often barely breaks even for many nations, wouldn’t be enough to sustain the current model.

Beyond finances, the excitement of international cricket would take a major hit. Some argue the "rivalry" has waned and become one-sided, specially in recent ODIs, but rivalries tend to ebb and flow. Who knows how the dynamic might evolve 10, 30, or even 50 years from now?

Wherever Whenever word Pakistan comes in aany event, they will create controversy. Hope ICC has learned its lesson and tell them that they can not stop playing politics on every opportunity. Start by moving champions Trophy to South Africa or UAE

That's what they're known for. Biggest case of victim mentality and everyone is out to get them. Nothing good ever comes out when you associate the name "Pakistan" to it.
