Upcoming batting talent for Test cricket.

There is a narrative being set that there isn't enough batting talent to replace Rohit,Kohli and even KL (notwithstanding current Test performance.)

 

So this thread is to discuss and track FC performances of potential Test batsmen for future.

 

The ones I can think of from top of my head are :

 

Sai Sudarshan

Baba Indrajith

Musheer Khan

Pradosh Ranjan

Rinku Singh

Aryan Juyal is a decent prospect. Numbers don't reflect but he has had to bat a lot on green mambas, mostly as an opener

Rinku Singh. FC average of 55 and averaging 49 in List A.

Rinku should have played atleast 10 Tests by now. Instead we gave debuts to trash like SKY, Padikkal , Patidar etc.

I put my neck on line to declare that Musheer will not make it. I watched the Duleep trophy game and he has got many flaws in his batting ( just like his brother)

Baba Indrajit should have got home tests ahead of Patidar and Paddikal but time is running out from him. He may just become another Easwarsan.

 

Most excited about Jurel and Sai. Rinku could also make it but guess he will be branded as white ball prospect only.

Riyan Parag averages 35 in first class cricket, not good enough. First need to try batsmen averaging 45 or more in FC cricket.

yes to Musheer and Sudarshan. Not sure that Pradosh has enough to warrant chances.

 

I am also excited to see how Mhatre shapes up. he is very young, but looks good
