If it's longer than what Jaiswal said, Jaiswal had to update the team to move on. Simple

Time should have been shared by Jaiswal. What can Rohit assume here

Dude have you ever been in any group in your life?

Here's what probably happened, jaiswal got late minute for something (maybe diarrhea, maybe alarm didn't go off).

He started rushing

Realized he would be late and called 10 more mins bro.

As in such situations, he underestimated

Rohit and team keeps calling, he says 5 more minutes

It becomes 20 minutes, Rohit gets frustrated.

No one can predict pin point time in such situations, lol, it happens with any group, it depends on how the rest of the group reacts.

I get it that he was late but everyone is late here and there in real life. A phone call made to his room or a knock on the door could have solved the issue? Sometimes people makes a mountain out of a small issue - Jiswal has a good head on his shoulder, let's not make him go under pressure for stupid stuffs like this.

Many times and it is the duty or responsibility of guy getting late on the eta. It is a must

Why is this even in the news? How did media find out?

I'm not condoning indiscipline. There should be a strict decorum at that level of sports teams. However, it should be kept as the team's internal matter.

ps - Rohit fumes about tardy but doesn't care about basic fitness.

Rohit is doing everything to deflect attention from himself. The fatso can't bat, can't field and is a joke of captain in Tests. This coupled with his lack of reading pitch correctly, and picking teams poorly, has made him a huge liability. So using these cheap ways to throw others under the bus.

I challenge any rookie to try this s-hit at your work place. Go late for a critical meeting where your top leadership has reached before you and waiting to meet a client. They are going to dump you and move on irrespective of reason.

Jaiswal is not a rookie anymore. He is a star. And apparently this is the only time he was late.

Once you prove your ability, you get 2nd chance even in corporate settings.

And as already said in this thread, Rohit himself has caused delay in the past due to forgetting stuff.

I think last yr also he was sent off during a domestic game can't recollect reason so not the first time. Anyways I am fine they didn't tolerate such behaviour. Wish someone had put their foot down for Shaw as well.

that was a different issue.

Shaw was banned for a year for taking a random medicine that doesnt even effect cricketers. His slide probably started from there.

When was the last time a senior was punished like this? Why didn't Rohit get same treatment when he has caused delayed multiple times?

Blame Jaiswal if we lose.

What wrong did they show? He went in different car not bus.

It's a tricky situation to have a not so good test player as the captain..

'Damned if you do, damned if you don't" moment

Hope these selectors don't confuse formats..

We are still looking to fill up the Pujara/Rahane spot.

Vihari was doing ok but they threw him out too..

Problem with you is you find excuse to bash Virat and Rohit. Yusuf Pathan went to wc11 ahead of Rohit but you won't talk about a young Rohit now will you.

All these things started happening after Rohit came back as captain. He has totally destroyed the team chemistry. It would be easier at this point to let him go and let Bumrah captain.

Jaiswal is one of the very few players who actually is looking world class, and this idiot has managed to piss him off as well. Jaiswal probably thought "what's the point of doing the right thing when you can survive like our captain".

Not when half the Mumbai lobby has his d!ck in their mouths.
