Indrajit and Sai Kishore don't seem international quality.

gurnoor has played 10 FC matches, not bad. Also need to keep an eye on young Nishant Saranu. If he can raise his avg pace to around 134-136, his super-high height will help him extract bounce.

please do look him up. many of 100s and 50s came in difficult situation and/or difficult pitches. and he is a decent spinner too - can take a decent clutch of wkts

More suited for red ball, he is a class bat.

Bowling though seems to have taken a backseat, Haryana don't use him that often. But still his numbers are decent.

Yeah...at this moment his primary skills seems to be batting, just like NKR.

Suthar is more like Bawa...primary skill is bowling but batting is solid as well.

Suthar is a much lesser bat than Bawa - he's classic bowling AR. Bawa and Sindhu are closer to "balanced" AR, though Bawa is closer to batting AR.

Rinku and Sai deserve to be in the Test team. They have the temperament for a fight and have performances to back it up. But our selectors are so poor at evaluating talent and potential plus averse to backing youngsters despite youngsters being the main reason we've been relevant over the last few years.

Sundar was an anomaly too. In 2021, his FC avg was around 32 with the bat, and his test avg turned out to be 64 in that period before injury.

Gaikwad has List A numbers. That's it. NOt really a great first class cricketer.

He should be nowhere near the Indian team. He's a low ceiling player and the best you can hope for is that he becomes another KL Rahul. Don't want to see him in T20s and ODIs as well. We already have likes of Jaiswal, Sai, Abhishek, Rinku, Nitish, Riyan, Gill, Jurel etc. No need for another low ceiling accumulator.

I would like to see..below players to be groomed and step u their game:non capped players..I mean..

 

Raj Bawa

Sai Sudharsan,Rinku,Parag(including as didnt play tests yet)

Nishant Sindhu

Kartik Tyagi

Gurnoor Brar

 

These players now have some domestic experience..and if they are able to step up..they can make a huge diff at international level..

 

Parag is interesting..I feel he has not shown best of his focus in first class cricket as if he doesnt respect those bowlers...perhaps..International level may bring more fight and focus from him..he has got lot of talent to do so..

 

My concern is the demands of IPL could have some negative impact on them..as i see them good red ball prospects..and some may not be naturally suited to t20s..

However,decent performances in IPL can get them into reckoning pretty fast..

 

 

Apart from the others discussed in this thread..what are the thoughts on Ayush Mhatre..U19 player..not big sample size..but have played some handy knocks..technically looks good..I hope he does well as he gets more opportunities..bowls off spin well too..could be future opening prospect..once he is matured enough..

Mhhatre is very good. Scores fast via orthodox shots. Bit of early Shaw in him, both good and bad.
