he did amazing vs Pak in Pak (in bottle top + home umpire era against imran, wasim, waqar, qadir); and shyte against everyone else.

I will say this again and many times Sanjay is not a cricket pundit. I am surprised he gets media gigs with his horrible commentary. Sometimes when I hear his opinions I wonder if he ever played cricket at the highest level. He once I think made a rude remark on Harsha about the latter not having any cricket playing experience etc. He is neither a good commentator nor is he professional.

This is how being bitter looks like. He thought he was a superstar when he came in. I remember his start in test cricket. Then he went nowhere. This underachieving hurts him. His views are all over the place.. his style of speaking is annoying. Attacks people who achieved way more than him..

Bhogle loves Indian cricket, ICT, players etc.

Most of these boomers have low self esteem and inferiority complex probably have seen way too many thrashings over the years.

 

Things will change when new gen takes over even in politics, academia and scientific field.

 

But if he is on board and one of the rare cricketing voices saying that Indian cricket must not be held hostage by senior players then this is exactly the kind of narrative we want going forward.

 

Manju has given enough reasons to despise him but if he is advocating to end superstar culture in Indian cricket then it is welcome change.

At least in our cricket community, boomers don't behave like Sanju. You see guys like Sunny, Shastri, even the bad ones, nobody undermines Indian cricket successes like Sanju. 

 

When we won T20 WC, he went on a rant about how T20 WC isn't the real WC and only 50 overs WC is real. When Sania became number 1 in doubles, he mocked her (without any provocation) career for lack of singles title, as if she claimed she was number 1 in singles ahead of Serena, Sharapova, Azarenka. Timing dekho is chwtye ka, every time some Indian achieves something, he has to mock it. Now when our T20 team is so good, he is making pre-emptive strikes like saying how Olympic gold in cricket will be useless.....just the thought of our Indian team winning gold in LA is making him bitter.

 

Sunny and co. were doing bhangra in star sports box when Indian hockey team won bronze in Tokyo and after Neeraj's gold, they even sang songs, I remenber those videos. Even before that I have seen Sunny, Shastri take pride in India's badminton wins, they would hype up such things on air. 

 

I am yet to see a more despicable character than Sanju when it comes to 'experts'. Comes across as worse when he praises every small thing Pooks do while at the same time downplaying something as epic as 20-21 BGT.
