Majority of the past ICC victors were fearless (not just gamewise but also selection, tactics) and hence won. 

Md Haris a shocking sudden inclusion and he paid off in T20 WC.  SA in final group game and later on in the Semi final vs NZ.

 

India never makes such bold calls.  I so badly wanted Mayank Agarwal to play over Kela when Dhawan got injured in 2019 WC... But we went with Kela who scored a awful slow hundred vs Lanka & I knew he would bottle in next big game in SF.

I backed Sundar only in test cricket and he has done nothing wrong.

Anyway if history is an indicator, always easier to defeat Aussies in QF/SF than the final....at least for India. We beat them in 1998 and 2000 mini WC quarters, 2007 WT20 SF, 2011 QF. 

 

Beating Aus and NZ back to back in SF/F is the only way this otherwise forgettable tournament can be made memorable.

Why can't they wait in Lahore till Sunday night. ICC is to be blamed for that they could have played India-NZ match today and England-SA tomorrow.

 

ICC morons want everything but blame will go to India.
