Just give India the trophy.   Hey Rest of world.....move on.... do something else. something useful. Don't fight the inevitable.

Why does it sound like Deja Vu.

A likelier prediction is how massive will Rohit's Belly at the tournament?

Only ODI WC and Test matches matter to them.

They have won 5 out of the last 7 WC, that is every ODI WC for the last 28 years except 2011 and 2019... That is some insane record

5 out of 7 WCs, crazy. Also made the final in SC in 96.

Took the greatest ever Lankan, Indian and English teams playing their best cricket ever that particular day to stop them. That too they at least made SF each time, when other teams bomb they don't even make the knockouts.

No team will ever surpass Aussies, not even India as long as the sport is played.

They lost in QF in 2011 but yeah the greatest cricket team forever. Such a shame we couldn't build legacy like that after 2011, even though we reached semis every time since

yeah even WT20. Won one by fluke but they never cared enough about WT20 too.

Absolutely, very few f**ks given.
Suitably demonstrated by Cummins' thinly attended reception at the airport with the cup.

If India had managed to win this one somehow, nuthugger fans would go on for decades.

A game until the knockouts. Yet to score a ton in a KO except vs mighty BD. Infact has 1 50 AFAIK

Kohli is no better as well. Don’t remember his knocks apart from 2011 and 2013.

I don't even remember 2013..  The only knocks that come to mind are 2011 and 2022 T20 at MCG

2013 champions trophy was reduced overs with rain.

I remember Ponting's team facing criticism for not winning CT, then they absolutely smashed the competition in '06 (Pawar stage pushing incident) and '09 editions. If they are motivated enough, other teams are playing for silver.

This CT, they haven't even bothered to try, just a vacation for them. Will be super funny if their depleted squad goes on to win the trophy.

Winning this crap tournament shouldn't even be celebrated. Its not much bigger than those triseries wins of 90s or 2000s.

Head's appreciation for Rohit Sharma

In an exclusive interview with JioHotstar, Travis Head was asked who is the best batter in the Champions Trophy. Head candidly admitted that it is Rohit Sharma.

“Rohit Sharma, without a doubt! We are under pressure because of him, and the Australian cricket team is in fear of what he can do.”

The Aussie batter emphasized Rohit’s ability to dismantle attacks, labelling him the central threat to Australia’s title ambitions.

As stated before, Head’s admiration for Sharma isn’t new. During the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy buildup, he humorously dubbed Rohit the “hottest Indian player”, a nod to both his cricketing flair and charismatic presence.

On The Grade Cricketer podcast, Head blended wit and reverence, praising Rohit’s “style” and aggressive approach.

“He stands at the top, takes it on, double step and blokes in the powerplay.”

Head’s appreciation for Rohit Sharma transcends mere stats. He’s often highlighted Sharma’s seamless blend of elegance and power, once remarking, “Just like the way he goes about it around the sheds… Jasprit (Bumrah)has some work to do.”

Head finds Rohit Sharma 'hot'

The left-hander’s lighthearted jabs at Bumrah’s “physical attraction” contrasted with his genuine awe for Rohit’s ability to dominate bowlers effortlessly.

“Rohit plays a shot, and you’re thinking, gee, that’s a good-looking man,” Head joked, underscoring how Sharma’s artistry transcends technical prowess.
