highly overrated like Tony who didn't have anything to show for as a batsman alone barring few charity overs offered to him by opposition kaptans

Siraj has left RCB....he is replaced by young sensation Shri Bhuvaneshwar Kumar ji. 

 

Seriously speaking, RCB should have went for KL Rahul. He even wanted to be part of the franchise which started his T20 career.

Kohli will stay in RCB for at least 5-6 more years. Some new face will emerge by then.

nah I didnt think that when even Tukuraj was given captaincy. But now they are solely focusing on him.

Yes. Star value is very very vital. CSK  was blessed with it. So they were very lucky. Kohli was not that popular at the start. Tendulkar was the other popular guy. He was with MI. Also they didn't realize the importance of star value to promote your franchise, build your franchisee following.Shane warne to some extent had the charisma among the overseas. CSK was way ahead of others.  They didn't have to do much. MSD already had that. Yuvraj for all his performance was not  your superstar like Sachin or Dhoni.

Then Kohli went through that purple patch at all levels. He stock started rising. RCB hit the jackpot.

 

This is where Rohit's pR enters. Rohit neither had personality nor had performance to have that kind of following. They created a super star out of thin air.  All said and done he is still just a social media superstar. He didn't earn it himself.  Now most of these guys are getting older. So everyone is desperately trying to create superstars. KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Subhman Gill all have PR working overtime for them. RR with sanju samson. After GT's win under Hardik pandya, MI thought Hardik is the long term option to be their superstar player given the horrendous form of Rohit sharma. It backfired big time though.

KKR has Venky Iyer and Rinku (I would make Rinku as tge face of franchise)

RCB has put all their eggs in Patidar basket 

CSK should maybe move to Dube instead of Ruturaj. At least Dube has performance in 2024 WT20, and still part of the T20I setup. Ruturaj is a poor man's Gill
