zen Posted June 5 Posted June 5 (edited) When there were 8 teams - CSK and MI were the dominant teams. In 2022, IPL become a 10 team event where past no longer mattered (apart from to loyal franchise fans who judge their teams based on old dynamics). Since 2022, new teams such as GT have been most consistent. Moving forward, which teams will become or be seen as dominant? Edited June 5 by zen
LordPrabhzy Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Who cares... dominance in pyjama league means nothing. Its a way for toxic fan armies to form a self jerk circle and worship star players assholes Ultimate_Game 1

Toxic fan armies are at every level. In IPL, the Indian toxic fans battle against each other. Cheer up!

Im more concerned about the 11 deaths that happened yesterday and the IPL machinery carrying on as normal because for them visuals and chest thumping is more important to get more TRPs. Fan armies in club football in Europe i understand who have a history of 150 years a club.. these IPL franchises are barely 15 year olds and people are ready to put themselves in harms way and kill themselves in the hope of eating excrement out of Kohli, Rohit or Dhoni's ass and to just jump on the bandwagon. If this is what the IPL is going to do for society id rather this while thing was chucked in the bin.

These guys will find some other channel (IPL is a channel much like Indian cricket team or cricket or sports in general is) to hurt themselves. Rather than worry about the noise, need to focus on the sport - its competitiveness, its excitement esp. if the game goes to the last ball, etc. A large majority is likely to be emotionally balanced.

They each seem to know the next move and act accordingly. I am hard-pressed to see how IPL is scripted. Can you give some examples?
bowl_out Posted June 5 Posted June 5 No single team will dominate. There have been 4 champions in 4 years since the introduction of 10 teams

Gollum Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Dynamics change with every auction. Can't predict long term. For this auction cycle I think Punjab or RCB can string together a couple of trophies.

Yup, now teams don't pay the penalty if they don't select the right team or don't have a balanced squad. This definitely reduces the gap between good teams and others. vvvslaxman 1
