This was very well expected. BCCI in it's hunger to rule the Cricket World (politically, not in terms of actual onfield performance lol) will never ever boycott Pak in ICC/Asia events so as to please the ICC and braodcasters. 

 

If BCCI forfeits Pak matches it will lose considerable bargaining chip in the ICC, making it's political dominance difficult.

The unbanning of P@ki accounts was some stupid IAS babu's doing not the govt's. I think the unbanning is already or will eventually be reversed after the public outrage. 

 

BTW the soft Khayalistani, Pak-punjabi lover Diljeet deserves all brickbats coming his way from Indians.

This is an ACC tournament, not ICC. ACC is headed by Mohsin Naqvi who is also current interior minister of Pak federal govt. Naqvi spread plenty of bile against India during the Pahalgam/Sindoor episodes. 

 

ICC has literally nothing to do with this garbage event.

 

If broadcasters have to be appeased, India might as well host a multi-nation tournament with Sri Lanka/Afghanistan and other countries (none of the SENA countries are playing in September, call them at short notice and promise them extra games next time we tour them). Indians will turn up to watch anything, nudge has to come from govt side. Or even a mini IPL (CT like format, with top 8 finishers of the league) if India so desires, literally anything is better than this farce.
