Everyone knows its about money. Asia cup rights were sold long back. The broadcasters were threatened by sponsors that if it doesnt happen they ll pull out from future engagements. BCCI already lost dream 11 due to government decision. They couldnt let another 200 crores go away. All this olympic charter multinational tournament is bulls€>%.  Asia cup is not governed by any charter as its a country event. Not an ICC event.

so 200cr is the price BCCI puts at over the lives and deaths of indian citizens..

 

All of BCCI must be arrested especially that weasel Jay Shah

@Austin 3:!6 is justifying the need for the match to be discussed.. there is NO justification when it comes to our people getting killed and BCCI/GOI being complicit in the double standards.. its our duty as Indians to hold the Gov to account and take the moral high ground even when it means taking some sacrifices

The worst thing is India doesn’t need the money nor will get any. It ll be the bangladesh sri lanka pakistan hong kongs ( China) of the world who ll get lions share. Basically we are shoring up their coffers and all these countries will bad mouth India at every opportunity.

But still getting angry at fellow posters achieves nothing. 99% of our interactions here will have nothing to do with Pak cricket, so no need of bad blood. 

 

Maybe @Austin 3:!6 likes to see us beat Pak to pulp on the cricket field, I remember he once got into fights (or some altercation, don't remember details) with Pawkees in UK over flag hoisting during our Independence Day celebrations...he hates Pakistan just like the rest of us.

 

Most of us here want no interaction with those jihadis, and ultimately majority views on ICF prevailed. At the end of the day, all of us here (including those who wanted match thread) want only good for India, just that some people can't see the bigger picture....for normal people that is ok (unless they show hypocrisy and do farzi deshbhakti later), but when govt makes that blunder, they deserve contempt.

As the match gets closer, I feel more helpless rage. All I want right now is to give a mouthful to the clowns in our so called nationalist government and the corrupt bastards at the BCCI. I hope social media is full of such posts and videos specially targetting the PM and his so called Chanakya.
