Wait, RSA vs Aus is still there. We can even play RSA in the SF, who will try their best to avoid Colombo because of the English spinners (and scars from their group game). They did beat Aus in T20 WC SF last year, there is still hope.

Both the semis in India only. The finals venue is yet to be decided.

2000 was the year when White ferns won world cup and black caps won Champions trophy.  That too they beat Australia in the final of world cup.

Population factor doesn't work here. There are probably more professional women cricketers in NZ than all of the subcontinent combined. And they don't face half the challenges that Indian girls face growing up. First world vs third world patriarchal society where women face all kinds of subjugation and marginalization, where even powerful women politicians pin the blame on victims of rapes like we saw in Bengal recently.

And you can see it within Asia too.

 

The less patriarchal Bangladesh/Sri Lanka team is way better than Pakistan's whereas not so in men's cricket.

 

Same thing plays out in wrestling where Dagestani/Iranian women don't even play.
