Man equal pay is something should be based on demand. If women’s cricket has demand then they should get equal if not it won’t be fair to men’s cricket team.

They are not getting equal pay and yes, there is a growing demand every day. Numbers prove it.

What's weird is how people like you ignore history. It's like tying someone's leg for years and asking them to run a race. Then when people realise the injustice and want the leg untied, you cry that equal legs should only be given when demand is there.

It ignores decades of less opportunity for women which led to less pay and less sponsors. And now you want to wait decades for demand to grow instead of addressing it here and now.

And it's sickening how many of you act like the money is going out of your own pockets than from billionaire BCCI which has so much money to waste. But give it to women and then the crying starts and people want account of every paisa.

What a poor mentality where women are still treated a second class citizens.

Stop pushing your sick mentality on the indian cricket team. I can guarantee not a single member of the Indian cricket team will have any issues with the women's pay, if they have complains, they can have a million complains about how BCCI squanders money in other things. It's you and some other misogynists who have an issue. Not Indian men cricketers.

Another important point, even Ashwin mentioned this in his channel. Our players often play in home venues once in 5-6 years, including men in test cricket. So where is the home advantage? Ashwin said he himself had no idea about the pitch nature of a venue because he last played there at the beginning of his career.

Aussies play in the same venues, MCG, SCG, Gabba, Optus, Adelaide Oval every season. Same with Poms in Lord's, Edgbaston, Oval or RSA in Wanderers, Cape Town. We OTOH have 35+ venues and BCCI has to rotate among them all. Even Guwahati is hosting a test for the first time this December against RSA, that pitch will remain a mystery even for our players until the test starts.

Home advtg is not as much as it would be if we played only in 5-6 venues but it is still more than what visiting teams have. Ofc i don't think in this era it even counts much in white ball cricket as conditions have become largely homogenous in the T20 era throught the world and when you play leagues these white cricketers have no fear of Asian conditions anymore.

The repetitive Sunday torture for ind fans is finally over.  Ind vs NZ game is on Thursday.  Big relief.                    After back to back disasters at Vizag & Indore, our women team is focussed on executing new disasters at Navi mumbai (23rd Oct & onwards)

Sick mentality? You can’t pay someone unless it’s demand. Indian men cricketers were also paid very low. Kapil himself had to fight for two more rotis. If there is no demand BCCI had to dock men’s cricket earnings  and divert to women’s cricket. How is it fair for men’s  cricket ?. It is unfair if you do that. It’s sustainability for any business you can’t keep giving money if it can’t sustain. Emotions don’t run business only demand. Women can earn from contracts and WPL. These are good opportunities for them. They need prove it they are worth it as well. Currently they haven’t won any cup. They keep choking. On basis of current performance they need to prove quite a bit. If this was men’s cricket and they chocked and haven’t won any cups  I will be the first one to say don’t give them money.

WPL only helps SENA players better in Indian conditions... we still have malnourished choker players, WPL or no WPL wont change that

I have attended the hundred each year and was at Vadodara edition of WPL this year and the WPL is a more intense better standard which those Indian players contribute to . More of an interest was that i stayed in the same hotel as the Delhi Capitals and saw them up close each day . My take was that being with and coached by foreigners was a huge experience for the Indian girls , making friends,  coming out of their shell , being less shy all helped their on field performance. An Indian only environment inhibits the Indian women to be the best version of themselves especially with a temperamental captain who constantly looks for people to blame not encourage

I think WPL has done more harm than good till now. The level of inpetitude shown yesterday was appalling.

It will take another five to 8 years to get young and hungrier players coming thru wpl. Indian wteam have no reasons to complain. They are being given every opportunity to do better than what they done since 2017.

WPL contributes only to T20. Not ODI.  Whole dynamics are different for ODI. If you suddenly throw ABhishek into ODIs there is no guarantee he will click. We saw with SKY flunking in the all important final. India reached world cup final 6 years before WPL.  Money won't suddenly make our players mroe athletic, fitter, stronger than say an Australian player. They are way ahead of our times. In current world cricket  In the last 5 yeasr  Australia has lost 5 times out of 53 matche sin WODIs.

Lost twice to India

twice to ENgland

once to SA

Beat NZ 7 out of 7

They are too strong. India apart form against NZ,Aus have done well

If you narrow it down to last 2 yeasr. India has lost 9 out of 10 matches to Australia. But have W/L ratio of 1.0 or above every other country.  India was second favorite walking into this world cup. Lost 3 matches in the backend.  Clearly it is a progress.  Our men's team after decimating 10 teams lost in the all important final. The supposedly One of the greatest white ball player of all time could not hit a single four for 97 balls.  He had all the money. WHy couldn't that money help?  Let us not tie money with performance.

A great perspective. WPL will help with women cricket's development in the longer run. But at the moment the Indian women cricket's leadership needs to change. We've had a similar result for a long time and it's time to shake up things. Status quo hasn't changed anything over the last few years where we under-achieve in big games and can't handle pressure. Maybe a new leadership regime can make a positive difference.

Emotional fans don't talk about addressing the problem, they talk about running away the problem. "Cut everything, make them poor. It will improve our game"

This was after we put away the hot favorites Australia in the semi final.

That one really hurt. Winning that tourney would've removed monkey off the back and probably led to a winning culture. Now it's a mental block and I don't think we can do much with same core players in Harmanpreet, Deepti and Smriti to an extent. Need to shake up the team and change the leadership core. Harmanpreet has to go and we need a new captain and management.

One thing's clear that the current core and management isn't getting it done and are stuck at the same place. They have even struggled winning Asia Cups the last two times failing to B'desh and SL. This clearly shows a problem handling pressure and similar trend under Harmanpreet. We need to make the changes at the top and have a psychologist/mental conditioning coach with the team.

+As you said leadership change is needed. That is the starting point. There are some ingredients they have to look into. But overall all 3 losses were not entirely due to ingreidents. It is more the inability to seize the key moments. Champion team even when they are their worst form seize these moments come out victorious.  You just need to be hungry team if not champion team. For instnace Lords test 7 out of 10 times i back India to chase that paltry 190 total on day 4 and 5.  England just had 20 overs to make their play as the ball would go soft and India would have walked the target. They made every ball in that 20 over count.  India lost a winnable match. By the time ball got older we had already lost more than half the side. India has to develop that short burst momentum seizing performance.

We've overcome mental blocks in white-ball format in Men's cricket but still struggle in Tests while chasing even a modest target. In Women's cricket we're not anywhere near the championship mentality and we need to start by changing the leadership team.
