I saw couple of fours that Head hit against Potts in his second over and I knew it would be deja vu Vinay Kumar. There is no chance in hell for military medium pacers on flat pitches in Australia. Lot of Pakistani pacers got smashed in the last two decades

I stopped watching it after second test. Just watching highlights now.It has been most boring series.The quality of cricket has been awful.

gun barrell staright.  Not really skillful. Head made himbowl short and thrashed him. Bit like watching How Pant and Jadeja thrashed him in the 5th test. He clean bowled Kohli though.

Smith departs for 138. Tongue has troubled him this series, only Pom bowler who ever looked likely to take his wicket this Ashes.

In his early days,  Shane Warna said once in a commentary  that Smith will be the best of his generation. He has skill , attitude and looks of a player.

 

 

When he first came to the scene, people used to compare him with Warne, was seen as a bowler. Leading wicket taker in 2010 WT20.

 

In 2013 BGT he scored a 90 odd in one of the tests, a series where rest of Aussie batsmen were struggling big time especially against Ashwin (30 wickets in 4 tests). Then the Ashes in England where they started treating him like a specialist batsman, got his 1st 100 and after that, no looking back.

At this point I believe the BCCI delays everything till the last moment due to security reasons and don't want to give enough time for people like Headley to recce the place. It might be incompetence as well but I just want to give them the benefit of doubt.

Looks like a CB who should be playing for Stoke city is instead bowling first change for England.
