The biggest problem with England is their batting. They simply won’t win any matches against good teams unless they sort that out. Bowling is not a problem.

Pant scored a century in each innings of a test vs England just this summer before he got injured. The problem is that instead of treating him like a keeper like Carey is, Pant is expected to play as a reliable mainstream top order batsman so any low scores from him are treated as a disaster.

England has an attitude problem in that they are afraid to offend the Australians.

 

If Larwood bounces Bradman - Larwood is a villain, if John Snow does the same, he is a villain and the Aussie crowd will throw a hissy fit.

 

However if Lillee and Thomson bowl hostile then poems are made as in "If Lillee don't get you Thommo must". Now the Aussies are strutting around.

 

At this point at least some English should say "And if Larwood bounces Bradman, or Snow bounces us, cry like a little girl we must".

 

So long as they have this attitude of being in awe of the Aussies and punishing the people who give it back like Larwood and Snow the results will be same.

What Pant does with bat should always be treated as bonus rather than expecting runs everytime he walks into bat and hoping he would rescue the team.

their bowling is equally ****.they took 12 wickets in the 1st test,12 in the 2nd and 14 so far.they probably will not take 20 wickets in any of the 5 tests.
