bowl_out Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Huge anti-incumbency against DMK. They have never won two successive elections ever. Vijay has massive support and seems to have taken a major share of DMK votes. ADMK numbers look flat vs 2021.

He didn't dare contest when Jayalalitha was there and that played a huge factor in the eyes of the voter He just chickened out and BJP didn’t help by aligning with him too early. Yeah, you’re right but the time he decided he had too many health issues.
cowboysfan Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I knew it,the cringe hero culture is alive and well in TN,they are so smart but in no way should a actor be qualified to run their GOVT but they keep voting for Actors for decades.

kepler37b Posted May 4 Posted May 4 1. Gujju duo has been simping for Tamil language and culture for a decade 2. They also do drama with sengol in parliament. 3. They invited xijin ping to mahabalipuram. Chad tamils showed the gujju duo their place by making an actor, a work from home campaigner, their CM.
IndianRenegade Posted May 4 Posted May 4 lol at DMK.. good luck to TVK & Vijay. Hopefully they work on progress rather than regressive ideas like anti-corporate politics. coffee_rules 1

I know tamils from very near. For them BJP is a North Indian party. I would say aiadmk lost votes by allying with BJP.
coffee_rules Posted May 4 Posted May 4 So, 11 AM so far democracy is winning in Kerala somewhat in TN . But rest of the states tanashahi is leading . Secularism 1.5. Communalism 3.5 mishra, ravishingravi, singhvivek141 and 1 other 4

You think there is split within DMK? It is definitely anti-incumbency as ADMK is at 2nd position.
cowboysfan Posted May 4 Posted May 4 my hate for commies cannot be measured, they need to be WIPED out in all parts of indian society especially the media .

cowboysfan Posted May 4 Posted May 4 also the whispers of DMK discontent with Congress who were trying to ally with TVK before the results make sense now.

That trend will die down as well. BJP few years back was non existent in Andhra-Telangana, Punjab, Odisha, MH-Goa and West Bengal as well. Basically they were just a part of hindi heartland and Gujarat and reliant on their allies. Slowly they found they way and now are a strong player in almost all the above states (Except Andhra due to solid alliance with TDP and jana sena). They will slowly make inroads in TN as well, they already have Annamalai there and more and more Tamilian influencers like Shree Iyer are now voicing support for BJP. It will take couple of decades but they'll soon break the barrier. TVK's lead signifies that TN wants change, but they don't see that alternative in AIADMK. BJP already has the lead in Puducherry. Not to brag, but telugus in general are very cosmopolitan. Easy for national parties like Congress and BJP to make in roads. Remember United AP used to contribute a lot to congress tally whenever UPA won.

If they go with DMK, they will not last for five years and will not be able to return back after five years. They should be smart to align with ADMK and survive. But you’ll never know what happens in Tamil Nadu politics.
