Not bowling Washi was a crime. On these kind of pitches, he is our best strike bowler.

He has not progressed at all as a test bowler. Got lucky inthe 2021 home series vs England where his novelty of 95k darts proved too much for the English to handle on manufactured dustbowls. He is still bowling the same rapid, round arm darts with zero revs on the ball. Even on a helpful pitch where the SA finger spinners were bowling an unplayable ball each over, he struggled to even cause the batsmen any discomfort at all.

His approach works in T20 cricket because keeping the batsman quiet is enough and when the batters try to attack him, he can pick up the odd wicket. Shouldn't be anywhere near the test team as a bowling option.
