KL Rahul - How long is this terrible curse going to stick to the Indian team, Agarkars selection worse than his cricketing skills and Bumrah the big time choker.

KL has played 66 test  matches, and averages 35 as a top order test batter.  Take out his stats padding against West Indies and his test average is almost sub-30.

How he keeps finding a place in the test side ahead of Shreyas Iyer is astonishing.  He is a fragile mental midget par excellence.

Bumrah has again showed that he is the opposite of Travis Head as a bowler. Travis numbers are just average - but when it counts he is a monster cluch player.

Bumrah has great bowling numbers, but when it matters, he is a clueless mental midget not much better than KL.

Bumrah can play another 50 test matches and end up with a sub 21 test bowling average, he will still not be 10 % of a Mcgrath or Mitchell Starc.

And finally, who is the AO from BCCI that decided to offer the chief selector role to Agarkar. Whatever Agarkar's shadow touches, becomes **** level, somehow.

Every team has competent batsmen playing upto 11. We need to quickly find bowlers who could atleast bat a bit to win at home. SA won the last match due to their batting depth upto 11.

This team is filled with allrounders.

We need specialist batsman who have grinded in domestic for years ie Sarfaraz, Eashwaran, Pattidar.

Instead the test squad is selected on the basis of IPL.

The players who should be backed are thrown out and who should not be in the squad are blocking their places

Even specialist batsmen wouldn't be able to bat freely on turning pitches. And having so many LHBs is make it a one dimensional team. Sarfaraz should have played in the 1st match where right handers had a better chance of scoring runs.

And we need all rounders who could turn the ball not someone like Axar who just bowls straight

Need clarity of thought in right direction from team selection to surfaces

Should have won first test no matter what

Those guys had no escaping, should have scored 124,blame has to be on them first,GG is doing damage from background

Can't blame poor bowling performance on the team having all rounders

This is the best possible India attack combination for this test.

Do you want KL an opener to be replaced by Iyer a middle order batsman who will be extremely vulnerable overseas even in the middle order ?

This is our lot for now. KL had a very good tour of England. We don't have a plethora of world class talents that we can replace him.

First find bowlers. And then improve their batting. Not the other way around.

the root cause of all problems ....persisting with proven mediocrities all the while lots and lots of unproven talents existing  in first class cricket.

pujara, rohit sharma,  rahul all are examples.
