Also Akashdeep was chief destroyer in Birmingham Not downplaying Starc here, has been featuring in my favourite list since his debut Here Boland and Neser also supported him Thing is England helps you 50% in winning games if you do your thing just about right, they don't make things difficult for opposition, laughable argument ,but it holds Lord 1

Gollum Posted January 8 Posted January 8 POTS in both home and away Ashes now 2 ODI WCs (starring role in both) 1 T20 WC 1 WTC IPL win for KKR after a long hiatus May even get to 500 test wickets if he can play for another couple of years. Respect. tapandrun 1
Gollum Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Played all the 5 tests at the age of 35, sent down 155 overs. No Cummins, Hazlewood, Lyon as support for most part. Important hand with the bat as well, took a couple of screamers. He is an ATG. New guy, tapandrun and Manucrick 3

The Hound Posted January 9 Posted January 9 (edited) Does Starc makes it in top 10 bowlers of Aus in tests? McGrath, Warne, Lilee, O'Reilly, Grimmett, Lindwall, Keith Miller, Hazlewood, Cummins all ahead of him. Edited January 9 by The Hound

tapandrun Posted January 9 Posted January 9 What a series for starc, stuff of legend. Carried whole bowling on himself when rest of the bowlers were not in the side. He picked his game and pace bowled at high pace in all the 5 matches.
vvvslaxman Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Supreme athleticism. HE did not drop pace right through the series. tapandrun 1

This is where Aus team is diff. they all have reserve tanks for big games thats what makes them so successful team in Icc events. They can raise their game, all have reserve tanks for big games... where rest of the teams looks burnt-out by the end of the event Aus start pushing all the cylinders.
