Yeah I have read about him in 2009-11 era when I was a very obsessive Pakistan watcher. 

 

I am surprised they showed him as a larger than life character but missed out on this detail where his men were involved in saving Benazir in the first attack on her (I think it was in Karachi in October in 2007) and were responsible for her security after that.

 

 

They could show Hamza among his men saving Bhutto from that first attack and in his rise through ranks.

One more odd thing about the movie is most characters being shown drinking and smoking while most muslims don't smoke or drink because of religious prohibition.

I have seen chainsmoker Kashmiris and drinking a lot too.. ofc they don't do that openly in Kashmir but talking about them doing it outside of Kashmir.  

It's a misconception that Muslims don't drink or smoke at all outside of Ramzan.

 

Dhar has taken some creative liberties while showing the malls, and clubs etc that probably don't exist at all in Pookistan

It's not a misconception. Smoking and drinking muslims are very miniscule.

That's a very generalized and stereotypical understanding of Pakistan. In Punjab and Karachi, upper middle class and elite are absolute alcohol consumers. Almost all my colleagues and friends from Pakistan are drinkers.  Alcohol ban is as effective as it is in Gujarat.

Chidu was the finance minister around that time. It's an outrageous claim that he would have done this.

Muslim elite are not that observant. They drink and some do drugs.

reinstated a blacklisted UK company that provided paper for printing money to the Indian government.. it was blacklisted by Prannb Mukherji.. The same company was providing paper for printing money for Pakistan as well.. It was alleged that the company had exchanged plates with Pakistan thugs. That was the reason for blacklisting the company.. after the Modi garment in 2014 the company was blacklisted again. This was all over the news back then.. it could be an allegation, but investigative journalism had connected the 

two. Also creative license for fiction is allowed to do this as well.. 

 

 

There are movies which show right wing politicians, being corrupt. Like in Rang e Basanti, the saffron defense minister is involved in causing fighter planes to be ineffective and crash on purpose.. that is acceptable for most but any kind of UPA corruption shown in movies is a BJP propaganda for the critics. This is doglapan. I am not saying this about @rkt.india

Which year did Pranav mukharji blacklist the company?

 

Regarding rang de basanti, i have never watched it and I don't know if it was inspired by real stories like Dhurandhar which is based on real events.
