Apart from Jaiswal’s omission, best possible squad. No complaints. Jaiswal for SKY with Bumrah/ Hardik captain would make this team even better: nearly perfect.

No, Abhishek is an opener. He played 3-4 years in IPL at 6 and he failed miserably. Don't fix what ain't broke. Abhishek comes in as opener or he doesn't fit in.

Tilak is a certainty..he is covering SKY hole for long time now..and individually also been able to show good temperament to shepherd the innings..

Also..India isnt going with 4 bowlers..they will stick to 3 bowlers + ARS.. to keep batting till 8..

Its a tossup b/w Arshdeep and Kuldeep

Hardik may bowl as a second pacer if we need to keep Kuldeep as spin option and more attacking MO bowling..though it means...weak death bowling..and VC may have to bowl 1 over in death..

Arshdeep may trump Kuldeep if we need PP wkts upfront and death bowling..

 

Sundar will be a backup for Axar

Kishan will be backup for Sanju

 

Tilak and Sky may interchange batting order..as of now Tilak is 3rd since SKY isnt in form..Ideally I preferred to maintain L\R combo based on who gets out first from the openers..

 

The lower order batting order is flexible too..

Tilak is an auto pick, he is the best performer for India in recent times and played under clutch circumstances

Abhishek needs to be bowled more in bi-laterals and especially in IPL. He has to develop his bowling and the only way you do is by bowling more overs. He needs to be like Sehwag or Yuvraj and bowl a few overs every game.
