I feel like the analysts, coaches are over analyzing and asking bowlers to bowl too many variations resulting in bowlers spraying the ball all over the place and getting smashed. They should try bowling consistent back of a length line instead of so much experimentattion. Like proper Test match line, length and try to get some movement early on. Instead, we are seeing slower ball bouncers, wide balls and what not. Even so many rank half volleys. Rant over. Nuf said express bowling and cowboysfan 2

Just look at SRH,many would call their bowling attack a laughing stock. With the likes of Harshal, Unadkat, Reddy, and Malinga, they wouldn't be able to stop the opposition even if they had 280 run cushion. Edited April 11 by Suhaan
Texan Posted April 11 Author Posted April 11 Just watch the last 2 overs bowled by Overton and Gurjapneet. Back of a length, tight line and length. No silly variations. Run flow stalled and two wickets in two overs. This is what all bowlers need to do.

vvvslaxman Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Impact sub has raised the score. If you look at from an angle 200 is new normal it won't look bad. We have to expecting team scores of 160. Attitude has changed. Back in 2014 when MI was needed to chased 195 in 13 over to push the rate up they played and won it. When pushed they did even 10 years back. Now without even pushing they play that way. That is the difference. So we just have to adjust the par score 20 or 30 more than what it was 5 years back.

Nuf said when SRH has trundlers like Unadfast and Harshal then even 300 total isnt safe to defend putrevus 1
zen Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Watch Gt games. Only two totals over 200 in 4 games. 3 of the 4 games were thrillers. As the tournament progresses, with pitches becomes relatively tired, scores could come down.

IPl teams will have 3-4 solid batters and then rely on less stellar batters and all-rounders, and you'll see a reduction in the scores. IPL teams are not like India and they don't have the same depth which Team India does. Manucrick 1

Its just that some batters have unlocked a new way of t20 batting. Ind scored 250, 200 (chasing), 250 and again 250 in the t20i WC. Ind also scored 230+ in SA . Game has changed batter have unlocked new mode, when there was 1-2 such batter nw there are multiple even uncapped ones-- Vaibhav/Abhisheh/Arya/Ayush are making 180 sr look like ancient. 150 sr is becoming obsolete. We have surpassed internationals beasts. Kohli, Rohit, SKY , Ruturaj, Gill they all still struggle. New guys have enanced their big hitting skills. Experienced T20 batsmen are unable to match the young guys. tapandrun and Manucrick 2
