He should prolly broaden his horizons beyond bourginon and coq au vin and other items with unpronounceable names.

I do understand the complaint about the lack of protein, and agree that they should have incorporated some more animal-based protein dish. But other than that, suck it up Emmanuel.

Also nothing wrong in ordering from room service. People don’t go to such events to stuff themselves up.

Curious to know what our dignitaries get when they go to Vietnam or France

UAE prepared special Vegetarian menu for PM Modi.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/indianexpress.com/article/lifestyle/food-wine/pm-modi-uae-banquet-vegetarian-menu-details-8843427/lite/

I remember Chef Sanjeev Kapoor was also there and he prepared local Emirati as well as Indian food items for dignitaries as per his IV

Meanwhile This is what EU dignitaries had during their visit.  Main Course is even worse than the Vietnamese but

Dessert is much better.

They should've had a wild kachua confit cooked low and slow for 10 hrs and served in a sau saal purana kachua shell - ancient aphrodisiac in the foothills of Some-randomaalaya mountains.

It's not about the name of the dish - it's about the execution and innovation within the dish. Putting familiar names makes it easier for foreigners to embrace it. But, you can execute it to taste extremely good.

The only way to feed them something unfamiliar and have them embrace it is to tell them that it is an aphrodisiac.

Yes, but chefs/attendants/hosts, along with cards placed in front of dishes (forgot the names for these cards if they have a specific names), would explain what the dishes are about.

“Bharwan Vilaiti Gobi, Hare Tamatar Makhani”, “Gajar Muttar Naan”, “Daal Amritsar”, etc., sound like mouth watering fine dinning dishes already :woot:

Reminds me of the restaurant at the top of the CN Tower in Toronto which gets Italian tomatoes for Italian dishes, while keeping the menu simple:

HANDMADE TORTELLONI
$65.00
Ricotta and spinach stuffed, wild mushrooms, charred shallots, lemon zest, shaved black truffles

GRILLED HEIRLOOM TOMATO
$18.00
Aged balsamic, extra virgin olive oil
GLUTEN FREE

Protein-rich Dessert for Macron:

Golden-hued, healthful, very low glycemic, amino-acid enriched, aphrodisiacal gram flour praline, slow-roasted in cultured ghee to the precise threshold between caramelization and transcendence; a silken, aerated confection whose granular collapse on the palate evokes the decadent excesses of the old Mysorean courts. Finished with an unapologetic abundance of clarified butter and a whisper of cardamom.

Which sorry-ass sweet dal do you eat?

Dal makhani made from urad dal

Dal Makhani in a bowl with a spoon, with rice in the top corner, and a smaller bowl of dal and rice. Burnt orange colored surface and blue glass of water.

SRK hardly attends KKR games now. No reason to support them.

@FischerTal is a fellow Govinda fan.

If it were you, @coffee_rules @zen @ravishingravior @New guy talking down SRK there would be violence.

I have attained nirvana and made peace with my absolute superiority re: the understanding of cinema vis a vis you proles.

Amir is still, and always has been, better though.
