Seeman has talked far far worse than this though :) This looks  like an attempt to get a rise out of BJP supporters. Looks he is successful. It is not a remark with any kind of conviction. He left it as a troll comment when i listen to it in Tamil.

For somebody who doesn’t like or support Chhota Stalin, you seem to be liking him and defending him so much. Be at it.

NOt liking him. You jus tfell for troll comment. I am a Hindu. I don't get offended. Most Hindus in TN don't get offended. Why is that?  Your own BJP MLA didn't get offended apparently.

There is a very thin line between a 'troll comment' and genuine political conviction. Relying on Seeman talking 'far worse' as the benchmark for acceptable speech just shows how low the bbar is set ... Be at it even after you wanted to leave this thread

So some random folks make a controversial statement and if BJP responds to it, the latter is blamed for creating division in Periyar land...

I rememeber over one or two year back there was a discussion in Chatham house. In those days Khalistani Pannu was very hot and Kashmir was freshly settled post Muslims attack on UK Hindus. Surprising at the time was that  interviewee did not mention either Khalistan or Kashmir as issue but question was  along the lines of separtism feeling in Tamils. I was surprised, why the question is on Tamils when Manipur and Khalistan was relatively hotter.

I suspect it was Jaishankar and all he responded was I am Tamil and do you see I have any separatism or persecution feeling in me. May be interviewee was more informed about future designs.

We have to be very careful.

According to CVe of the rebel ADMK faction Vijay wanted an alliance with NDA pre poll but EPS refused it. Only then did he reach out to Congress for pre poll alliance

And has he been made minister for Hindu temples & charities?

For an outsider, this is also entertaining and also so confusing, which K party is supporting which K party in Tamil Nadu and who is horse-trading home? It is mind-boggling and mind bending listening to this video.

Might as well be because Hindus of  Tamilnadu will never get offended with anything that is offending Hindus in general, you see. :winky: apparently they’re just trolling. Hindus and Hindus are getting trolled, that’s all.  :giggle:

Actually, the N-word in my language has no significance. I have never used it since my childhood. But suddenly in adult life, I will start using it to mean that Black people are friends of white people and I will call them the N-word. None of the blacks in my colony will get offended because they have never heard of the N-word since their childhood as well, they’re OK. I don’t understand why rest of the blacks outside my colony are getting offended by the use of the N-word.

when did Sanathanam mean caste hierarchy in Tamil?

At Local Balaji temple, Many years back Tamils and Telugu were competing to take control and Telugus got the control.

Now, I can add one more reason to Telugu win.

Pretty dumb to troll right now when elections to ls are 3 years away and assembly 5 years.

Vijay will not say anything against hindus and still walk away with minority votes.

The bigger issue is why is udhayana lop when there are more expirienced mla like nehru and velu.

I still maintain, Tamils have lost intellectual edge over rest. The idea that they need to eradicate Sanatana and not majority Tamils find it offensive or risk associated with it just shows how nearsighted these guys have become. If one billion Hindus find it offensive, Tamil Hindus need to introspect, what exactly they can’t see just because they don’t like certain Hindu practices. Have they really lost touch with facts or can’t see implications of their support or silence on these issues.

In an alternate example, i have never seen a Israeli common man  having any confusion about what followers of islam brings to to table. They always say, West is clueless and sleeping when it coms to understanding Islam. I expected Tamils to have done the research on why Israeli jew commoners feel the way they feel surrounded by various Islamic nations and then make rest of India understand how not reach into Israeli position.

Well one thing you have to understand. Tamilians are deeply devotional people. If you have take them away from one devotion, they will move to another. From temples, now moving to churches, mosques and celebrities. Rationality thing is very overrated in TN. Devotion by its very nature is powerful because of its irrationality. But it cant exist in a void. It will find another house. Average Tamilian has no clue about Sanatana. He will put bibudi on forehead in morning and at evening be at TASMAC.
