Though Ind batting in Odis does not have have high or near to 0 mix of t20 batters but good to see Odi players like Kolhi , Iyer,Gill,kl are in-tune with t20s.

So if they can atleast play at high tempo but they will struggle when there is need for sudden impact innings getting 20 more runs to the total or shaving-off quick 20-30 runs frm the target

Which team has better top order than India in Odis.It is the lower order and useless fellow like Rahul which always has been problem.

Overall SA, Aus and NZ showed they can out score Ind in Odis, Ind lacks fire power and they do not really bat that deep so rely on top4 to do the scoring and also to hit big in last 10 overs.

Gill always lays an egg in big matches. Rohit is finished, will only get worse with time.

Only Kohli is there. No doubt he is the GOAT and still best ODI batter in the world, but he alone can do only so much. As a package, we lag behind some of the other contenders.

RSA will field Rickelton, Kock, Markram

Aus have Head, Mitchell Marsh, Inglis

Eng, NZ will also have comparable top 3s. NZ even has the best #4 in world cricket right now, Mitchell.

We should swap Kishan with Samson and Sundar with Krunal. If we don't trust Kuldeep atleast pick a proper left arm spinner. Is there a way to drop KL Rahul for knockouts atleast?

Our pacers need to work on death bowling to support Bumrah. Arshdeep has become unreliable and no one else has the skills

Morkel has been useless. Bumrah can do better job coaching young bowlers.

As said many times , I will take Indian top three over any other team.

Gill has potential to be very good, he just needs to work on his cramping issues.

You don’t buy experience in stores.  Add Jaiswal to the lineup and remove useless fellow like one of the Ishan/ Rahul and Iyer.

This was the reason for our patchy performance in the 2019 WC. After Dhawan got injured, India had no plans and started picking some random players in the XI. For 2 years leading up to the WC,  we never planned for injuries and middle order batters. We had Rayudu at 4 for 2 years leading up to the WC and suddenly Virat decided to drop him for Vijay Shankar. India are going in the familiar direction this time. Virat and Rohit were in their prime in 2019 but now they are in their last legs, so not looking good for the Indian ODI team. Not very convinced with Shreyas Iyer as well at number 4, do we even have another middle order bat for LOIs? When I look at Vijay Hazare for last year, there are hardly any middle order bats in the top 10 run getters. Only Dhruv Jurel & Rinku Singh come in the list. We have too many openers and not enough middle order bats in List A. Padikkal List A average of 82, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Anmolpreet Singh, Rituraj Gaikwad, prabhsimran singh all are openers.
