vvvslaxman
I hope he attacks tomorrow.wont last with dancing technique. Most shocking thing was he did not want a certain run to avoid the strike :cantstop: Usually Dhoni is very very alert to possible singles in one dayers. Link to comment
CSK Fan
can you list the number of our bowlers who lost pace after bowling long spells ... one or two will do good :two_thumbs_up: Irfan Pathan. Munaf Patel. many more. Maybe even Shami now. All losing pace after first few series Link to comment
Yoda-esque
Most shocking thing was he did not want a certain run to avoid the strike :cantstop: Usually Dhoni is very very alert to possible singles in one dayers. You are assuming a few things here. You think his previous run out had nothing to do with it? Link to comment
Laaloo
You are assuming a few things here. You think his previous run out had nothing to do with it? I would have understood if it was a touch and go single. But the ball was hit in the gap and there was a clear single. Especially since Dhoni is the fastest runner in the team. Don't think the run out had anything to do with it. Link to comment
Vilander
I agree and have the same feeling. Kohli' date=' as ad hoc captain might not go for wholesale changes... Ishant is a lucky dog.. Hails from Delhi and is very close to Dhobi. Don't know how he managed this secure position...Brainless and talentless bowlers like him will even struggle to get place in teams like Bangladesh...[/quote'] I think he might be a bit retarded, special you know. His face sometimes there is something not right, he does not look like he has everything on top there. No trolling geneuin observation, dyslexia or some learning disorder perhaps. Link to comment

Infact Vijay who is not exactly the quickest called for it and got to the other end with ease. Dhoni did not even start. Link to comment

maniac
This was with one over to go: He absolutely has no clue.....there is one thing having no technique or temperament and there is another having no common sense....he has made binny look like a world beater with a bat and Bhuvi as world lass with the bat.....that should tell us something. Fontaine
Irfan Pathan. Munaf Patel. many more. Maybe even Shami now. All losing pace after first few series Irfan never had pace to begin with. He was bowling around 80mph with the new ball at the start of the day so he never had real pace to begin with. Irfan Pathan ****ed himself. He was one of the rarest swing bowlers going. Left armer who naturally bowled with a 3 quarters seam almost guaranteeing late swing. For some reason left armers from India just have that amazing 3 quarters seam naturally like Zaheer, Irfan, RP. But then Irfan started screwing with his bowling action (twice at least), bowling with too many variations and clearly is content being an IPL guy than pushing himself like Zaheer did. The less said about RP the better. Link to comment

vvvslaxman
Off stump channel is a bane for all our players to varying degree. Dhoni is the worst of the lot. Some of his gems .. might have missed a llot 64.5 82.3 mph, caught at deep point! Dhoni stands in his crease and flays his bat at a length delivery outside off, he was aiming over cover but sliced it high in the air and straight to Petersen, who took the catch several yards inside the boundary 205/9 84.3 83.9 mph, It's the new ball and it is Steyn all the way since lunch. Another inch-perfect outswinger from a length, Dhoni played at it like a zombie - no feet movement, :hysterical: no nothing. Seemed like he wanted to steer it square, he ended up playing it straight into third slip's hands. India are disintegrating here. 247/6 45.4 85.1 mph, Outswinger, inswinger, outswinger, easy as a Sunday morning. Beautiful bowling. Follows that inswinger with an accurate outswinger, pitches short of a length, just outside off, Dhoni pushes at it, the movement takes the edge, Prior does the rest 137/6 38.1 81.7 mph, edged, pouched low at first slip, Dhoni gone! The pressure is becoming unbearable out there, Anderson hitting a good length in the channel, Dhoni prodded at it from the crease and physics did the rest ... India are on the ropes and taking an absolute battering right now 122/6 59.1 Morkel gets his first Test wicket. What a moment for the youngster. Dhoni falls edging a drive to second slip. Full in length and outside offstump, shapes away a touch, Dhoni drives and nicks it behind to de Villiers who dives low to his left from second slip to take the catch. Huge wicket this. 179/6 98.6 88.6 mph, there's the wicket, South Africa have been piling the pressure, big nick to that length ball just outside off, Dhoni got only half-forward as he poked at it, big edge through to the keeper, shifting the length fuller has worked for Morkel 264/6 87.3 83.7 mph, there's another one! Dhoni stands at the wicket, his feet in cement, and flashes at an outswinger, :hysterical:Anderson easily pouching the edge at second slip. England are surging now. India's lead is 52, but we're rapidly getting into the tail here. 273/6 83.2 81.8 mph, it's all unravelling in a rush! Dhoni gone now. Broad offers some width at a full, inviting length. Dhoni stretches to flash at it but could only outside edge to Swann at second who snaffled the sharp chance with ease 269/7 Link to comment
Cricketics
I don't care how he plays and how ugly it looks as long as he puts on runs for India. So far he has been pretty good on the tour. Link to comment

Only in that one innings on that one pitch where no 11 from both sides scored a 50. Lets see what he does here and the rest of the series Link to comment

rkt.india
Irfan easily used to bowl in 140s when he came into the scene and was considered a fast bowler. no..that is not true. He was always 130-135 bowler. His strength was swing like BK, but after making changes in his action in 2005 he slowed down even more. Dhoni had nothing to do with it. Link to comment
