Frustrated Posted June 27 Posted June 27 He is in the side becz of that AsiaCup Final heroics. It has been 9 months. I think he would enjoy a longer rope (maybe another 3-4 T20 series) before being booted out. (If he continues to flop)

Slamb bang 10 ball 25 s. But then the issue is what wrong has Rinku done. I would have Vaibhav, Abhishek, Samson, Ishan, Iyer, Dube, Tilak, Axar if he at all has to play. He doesn't know how to rotate the strike and gets stuck. Have been saying the same for a long time when people wanted to push him into ODIs when he averages 40 in List A which is even lower than SKY's List A average! But I would have him in T20 as T20 has a very small period where you may need to consolidate. I would back him in T20s. Sundar is the bigger problem as the guy is not a LOI player or hitter at all.
cowboysfan Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Everything went to hell for him after his Testicular surgery.Before that he was averaging in the 50s with many hundreds but after surgery in the WC and beyond his stats have taken a nosedive with 29 AVG and and abysmal SR of 134 in the WC and our selectors rewarded him with a Vice Captain promotion.

He plays 2 kind of innings 1) he gets a quick start and he then keeps rolling and hitting 2) He does not get start keeps blocking and getting stuck and not able to redeem. So if Ind has fast start then he can join and keep the game going or if he does not have to worry about his wkt falling then also he can keep-up , but as soon as it come to him to protect the wkt as well as keep scoring at high rates he can not do it. He lacks off-side game most teams knows this , plus he lacks the ability to score 4s without high risk, so when chips are down he can not play expensive shots because he will need to take risk and couple that with lack of off-side game kind of entangle him. Think mi knew this that why he was sent back when he got stuck. Most batters are able to redeem themselves but he can not , think only 1 innings he was able to redeem himself was in this IPL but it where he has consumed all the deliveries and then decided to take all the risks and that paid off. This does not work most of the times. If tilak is nt paying his 1st kind of innings he reminds bit on Misbah (pak intnl). Edited June 27 by tapandrun

Performance against Pakistan should not be the measurement of any player as they are minnows. vvvslaxman 1
