If it was not amply clear - the so called Khalistan movement is entirely sponsored by Pak - Pak flag and Khali flag side by side.

what has happened to these guys ? Their forefathers fought against Islamic conquests and oppressors. During partition their families in current Pak punjab were slaughtered when they were moving to India. Sikhs have been celebrated as the pride of India for the longest time.

Yet so many of them get brainwashed by Pak, totally ignorant about the fact that most if not all Sikhs that stayed back in Pak have been forcibly converted in Pak through coercion, humiliation etc.

What’s wrong with these guys ??

Few issues lies with us as well.

Just like Kanglus in 1971 were r@ped and massacred by Pookies, yet now they're dancing to their tunes. Coz we didnt do enough to make our presence felt.

Same with Khalistanis as well, we allowed Pookies to brainwash them, give them drugs and then during the Punjab insurgency suppression, we allowed these Pooki paid terrorists to runaway to west, instead of crushing their skull.

These Khalistanis have illegal money, and they use it to run a racket. The young Sikhs who aspire to go to Canada or other places in west come in their contact and they arrange funds for their travel and jobs. The entire Punjabi music industry is under the pocket of Khalistanis like once Bollywood was under D Company.

Pakistan was always sympathetic to the Khalistan movement. It's a 40 year old news. it's what rival nations do, they exploit internal weaknesses.

You also have to remember that modern national borders are a relatively recent human creation. Many Sikhs share a common Punjabi language, culture and regional heritage with people in Punjabi majority Pakistan. Even religiously, Sikhism and Islam are both monotheistic traditions. Those historical and cultural ties across the border help explain why some people view the relationship differently from the rest of India.

Mass violence occurred on both sides of the new border. Women were abducted, raped, forcibly converted and forced into marriages. It didn't matter whether the victim was Hindu, Muslim or Sikh. The horrors of Partition spared no community.

Sikhs are politically and socially diverse. Sikhs do not view modern day Pakistanis as being personally responsible for the actions of the Mughal rulers. For them, it would be like blaming a modern English person for the actions of their ancestors. Sounds pretty ridiculous, doesn't it? Ancestors of most Pakistanis were themselves victims of conquest, violence, and forced conversion, rather than perpetrators. At this point, it is important to focus on coexistence today rather than historical grievance. You cannot keep attributing ancient identities or actions to people living in the present, whether it’s Pakistanis or Sikhs.

Even the Sikh Gurus distinguished between individuals and an entire faith. In the Zafarnama, Guru Gobind Singh condemned Aurangzeb for his conduct rather than Islam as a religion. Likewise, Sikhs see the rise of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the Sikh Empire as a chapter in which Sikhs established their own sovereignty rather than remaining defined by the persecutions of the Mughal era.

Sikhs love India and don't necessarily share the same level of jingoism towards Pakistan as many other Indians. Both of those statements can be true at the same time.

In Canada at-least, saying "these guys" or "you guys" about an entire ethnic or religious community is often seen as stereotyping. OP is making sweeping generalizations about an entire community rather than treating people as individuals. The individual in the X post waving a Pakistani flag might simply be a troll. But by sensationalizing the incident and painting an entire community with the same brush, you're only ensuring that ordinary Sikhs see you and the rest of the people spreading this rhetoric as a threat.

Dude, please don't exaggerate content and learn how to comprehend better.

Where did I imply that all Sikhs are Khalistani sympathizers ?

What I said was how Sikhs don't seem to understand that Pak is not a wellwisher - seeing how Pak has  totally wiped out the Sikh population in Pak punjab. Such facts cannot be suppressed in today's day and age. it is stupid to have anything but hatred for Pak

Even outside of the Khalistani issue, the way Pak has smuggled Afghan drugs into Punjab to ruin the youth there, knowing that Punjab is a major agriculture contributor and recruitment belt for the army. You think this was possible without a massive ring of local elements in Punjab ??  Who do you blame but the brainless local elements who fail to see Pak as an enemy because it earns them drug money ??

There is nothing that Sikhi has in common with radical Islam that Pak Punjab has been steeped into since 1980s under Zia ul Haq, so you are wrong on that count too.

And what is the dumbest part about all this ? --they vote against the BJP that has done nothing but provide massive respect and support, whereas it was under the congress era that there was violence against sikhs in 1984.

Cherry on the cake ? -- A drunk joker like Bhagwant Mann is accepted as CM.

Those guys are the idiots. They come to Diljit concert and if they make it close to him for 2 seconds, they claim such a victory. Undoing all the good work Sikhs have done for India for past centuries.

Diljit is another mischievous bastard. He comes on prime time television in the West and introduces himself as a Punjabi.

@Vancouver Hinduism is broad, comprehensive. It has concepts of Nirgun Brahm as in Advait Vedant (God without characteristics, aham brahmasmi) as well as Sagun Brahm (God with characteristics).  Sagun Brahm also takes you to the same place. Infact, people can and do proceed on both paths simultaneously.

Question i have is, do Sikhs have a roti-beti ka rishta with muslims as they have with Hindus?  If not, you have to ask why, is it only the historic reasons and no cause from present situation?

It is an obvious ISI and CIA funded front... That's why we only see these activities outside of India.

India killed the Khali movement once and for all in Punjab and it's a thing of the past.  Yes we used the iron fist but that's how responsible democracies function.  No one gets to f**k with the union and get away with it.

People of Punjab have long understood that.

There is no love lost with between a regular Punjabi Sikh and a Pakjabi Muslim..  though the future generations have moved on from the bitter rivalry of the past as it's been a long time now.

Earlier it used to be pretty hardcore that I have noticed

Another important part, this movement has support of only Jatt Sikhs.

Also, not all Jatts are Khalistan supporters, we had jatts like KPS Gill who led cleanup of Khalistani termites and Gen Kuldip Brar who led Op BlueStar.

Jatts are mostly landowners who are utterly utterly caste supremacists, they abuse every other person by their caste slangs (Baaman, Bhaape, Choode, Chamaar) and have completely hijacked the Sikh faith in Punjab, the political system in Punjab and a lot of institutions like SGPC.

Good thing is most of them are selling their land to settle in western countries so hopefully this menace will come to an end in a few decades.

Pakistan will hopefully land in the dustbin of history in a few decades.

Pakistan, the country will. But not Pakistan, the mentality.

We have aplenty of Pakistan within India as well, and they're getting more and more rabid after every passing day. Kangaldesh hai become another Pakistan.

Usage of hard power is a must for India, to manage both internal and external threats.

Agree on that. We are too soft a state. Need to regularly cull the anti-state elements.
