India has far too containable batsmen.  But time for India to become a bowling powerhouse rather than batting power house to win matches outside Asia. Outside Asia you cannot rely on scoring 230, 240.

Yeah most posters on this forum are expecting 240,250 scores outside India which will never happen.

Yet other teams will score them, if we dont. Today england easily made 190 with an over to spare, they could have easily score 220+

Not possible on these bigger grounds. 180 will be a winning score in the next world cup at the huge Aussie grounds. You are living in a la la land if you think we could replicate 250s on bigger grounds. Even in the recently concluded Aus-BD series, none of the scores were above 200 on the huge BD grounds.

Eng grounds are relatively small compared to Aussie ones and some Indian ones. The problem is not the high scores, the pitches and overhead conditions change the dynamics of how many runs you can physically make compared to dead indian pattas and small boundaries. IPL is designed for 250-300 runs but international T20 in england is affected by the conditions and players have to adjust- its a different issue that our bowlers are halwa minus bumrah that they will leak runs in England

One side of this Manchester ground has fairly large boundary dimensions. Don't know if it's the BCCI or ECB, they are specifically choosing these big grounds to practice for the T20 world Cup in Australia. Even the Ireland series had bigger grounds.

Don’t forget the impact sub rule. That also beefs up score
