US needs to get a coach that "parks the bus" and plays on counterattack. Not this running around the ground like insane and then have defensive lapses.

With that Harvard Goal keeper USA will still lose even with 15 players.. WHat a low IQ guy. His positioning, judgement is not interntaional level.

The US players r quite likeable compared to these Belgians.
Just too many self inflicted errors today. At least 3 goals out of 4 were due to laughable errors.

Players were totally switched off in set pieces in the first half. Too much hesitation. And the goalkeeper error was absolutely comical. What was he even doing?? Same story with the 4th goal as well.

Anyways I’m supporting France and England. Want more Oasis victory songs in the end lol.

I thought Sepp Blatter was epitome of corruption but I apologize to him as he's like a Pope in front of Gianni Infantino.

Hmmm..... the Pope? You would be surprised.

No ways. They are actually quite good in creating chances and doing well 1 vs 1. It’s the errors and defensive tactics which are lacking. And need to polish some more aerial tactics too and not be too one dimensional.

First priority must be defense - then offense. Nobody on this team wanted to play defense. All want to rush forward.

The problem wasnt defense in the traditional sense. It’s self inflicted errors (glaring ones) and hesitation. It’s simple. The occasion got to them.

Losing possession in your own box when you’re having total ball control is just inexcusable. And sleeping in set pieces too.

If you are going to play a high defensive line and 8 players on offense - there are going to be holes at the back. There were. Score could have been much worse as the US kept losing balls on offense. Belgium after the OT win vs Senegal did not have the legs and motivation to exploit beyond 3-1 for the most part.

Paraguay lost to the US 4-1 too..... but then they learned to "park the bus". It worked vs Germany and gave fits to France.

The problem isn’t the formation.
lol 2 goals were in their own box. Anyways Belgium were gifted and they took it with both hands.

Never liked Belgium as they usually came overhyped. But I backed them fully against the cheats. Maybe Trump can still save them by calling his "friend Johnny Infantino" :giggle:

I thought Sepp Blatter was epitome of corruption but I apologize to him as he's like a Pope in front of Gianni Infantino. Maybe he can straight away award the trophy to US just like the "FIFA World Peace" award for the right price :hysterical:

US reminded of that kid who takes his bat home in a huff if things don't go his way and lovely to see them get hammered. Not just knocked out but hammered out of the tourney :cantstop:

Honestly, Muricans dont even care about football, they call it "soccer" mockingly while NFL is real football to them. Some of the classic baseball cards are worth the annual  income of some top tier footballers.

Europeans, Muricans, Aussies etc. seem to be more cold-blooded.

Because they know that these chewteeyas invest their life in bread and circus of football, while for them its only bread and circus.

I guess usa canada mexico all gone in 16.

Sub saharan african teams too all gone.

Morocco (maybe Egypt) only ones left holding the flag. Just highlights that why africa has potential this remains a game of south america and increasingly europe. 5 teams in with potential for 6th from europe.

I feel for the US players, though. They had accepted the decision and were moving on, but politics had other plans for them. They could've done without all the distractions and controversy leading up to the match. Instead the drama and the moment got the better of the them. I'll bet that played a lot into their unfocused effort.

They lost to Belgium 2-5 recently. So it is not a total shock they got trounced in a high pressure world cup knock out match.  They don't meet often. Over the years Belgium became a stronger team.
