Never works anywhere.  The great bowlers are all seam/wobble seamers.

There is no restriction wobble seamer cannot bowl upright seam deliveries  or the other way around.  Abbas bowled both upright seam delivery and wobble seam delivery today.

That is dumbest thing I’ve heard lol. They are clearly better than these Abbas and Shahzad

Maybe they have given up on Test cricket

given-up on test --yes.

but this a a good decision, more and more board will follow this or are following this in some shape or form without telling general public.

t20s are different format now, req. v.different skills set for both batters and bowlers.

t20 batters have to be like abhishek/Allen/Maxwell kind, spinners have to have some mystery about them and pacers needs to be able to bowl yorkers/slower-ones/slow bumpers etc.

as for pak bowlers --naseem and shaheen bowl similar pace to abbas and shahzad in test match, may be couple of couple of effort-ball here/there. but overall range is similar. and both have no accuracy.

They can bowl anything.  I'm talking about the effectiveness of swing vs seam.

Seam is far for more devastating that swing.

Indian pace attack also transformed when we had Bumrah and Shami regularly getting seam movement at pace.

Our pacers, till around 2014 or thereabouts, tried to just swing the ball most of the time. And remained high average pacers.

IT is an obvious thing. Because it gives you little time to adjust. But not everyone can be a good seam bowler.  It is always going to be a combination of a few things. Shami who is predominantly a seam bowler relies a lot on revers swing in Indian conditions.  WObble seam is not really rocket science. Dale steyn never had to rely on wobble seam. He is the most conventional swing bowler out there. All kind of bowlers have done well in Test cricket if they know how to sequence the deliveries. Umesh largely was a scatter gun most of his career.  Ishant was a low IQ bowler for the best part of his career despite being blessed with insane inswinger.

INdia never had an out and out swing bowler since Irfan pathan. Zaheer khan could do both, RP singh relied on swing. Sreesanth/Balaji exclusive outswing bowlers.  Bhuvi is not an out and out swing bowler.

The whole concept of fst bowling and coaching was to tell the bowler to bowl fuller and let batter make mistake, this does not work vs top batters in intnl level.

Plus add no pace for Ind bowler , its kind of throw downs.

Issue is same with spin too, bowler are asked to flight the ball rather than work on revs and side spin

You searched high and low and found probably the only outlier in the last 30 years in Steyn.

High quality seam bowling on most surfaces needs effort from the bowler ball after ball. This consistent effort was visible only from 2015 onwards. And from Srinath in the 1990s.

Zak lacked that effort after his first 3 years or so.

Greentop dependant effective seam bowling most pacers can do. Even military medium ones.

Anderson is predominantly a swing bowler. Broad is a wobble seam bowler. They complemented each other well.  NZ always had variety of bowlers. Boult swing.  Southee swing bowler.  Henry seam bowler

Conventional seam is very hard to execute for most. You have to hold the seam upright. Most don't do well with that. That is why people who hold upright seam get talked about a lot. It is not easy. Precision is important.  SHami had god level seam position. You cannot stack your side with one type of bowler and find yourself at the short end of the stick. Ishant swing & hit the deck, Shami seam, Bumrah jack of all trades. This combo worked better than any combo in Indian history.  Because there was variety. They all could bowl fast  as well.

Anderson is not predominantly a swing bowler. This is a myth. That was true for his career pre 2014.  Last 10 years , he became primarily a wobbler

Pak should have picked Ali Raza (U-19) he was touching ~150 kmph in Psl.

He was playing local 50 domestic cup, and they didnt even bowl him much think 3 overs in one game and in other only when the team had already lost the game.

In eng they can go with 4 pacers even if they have concerns over his fitnesss

They are all 4 over bowlers. They don't last long in a given match. Shaheen afridi in second or thir spell bowl no faster than Md.Abbas.

Yes posted about how shaheen/Naseem are similar pace bowlers to Abbas in tests. And both of them are not supper accurate.

Raza is new, he would have tried a bit and with extra pace and if he was able to perform , he could be looked as a Odi-wc bowler too
