Yoda-esque Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 "On average, vegetarians live longer and are thinner and more educated on average than meat-eaters. " There are studies that link consumption of bone marrow by the ancestors of modern day humans to the increase in brain size. So Veggies- Be thankful to your non-veg ancestors for getting this brain. Conversely, since veggies do not consume meat anymore, will their descendents retrogade back (in a few million years) ?

Sachin=GOD Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 If We All Eat Meat, We’re Doomed A growing body of evidence shows the impact that unsustainable levels of meat consumption – particularly of meats like beef and lamb – have on the planet. As shown in a recent Chatham House report, the livestock sector contributes nearly 15 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions, roughly equivalent to those from transport. Yet minimal attention has been paid to the unsustainable manner in which we produce and consume meat, and public awareness of the impact of dietary choices on our environment is low. CSK Fan Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Yeah right. He is talking about the American vegeterians who actually eat mostly salad. Not the Indian vegeterians who eat the most unhealthy food like Dosas, paathans, Paneer, vadas all dripping in ghee and butter and oil. Such vegeterian food is unhealthier than non-vegeterian food like steak

Hunters(Non-Veggies of the present day) Were just relegated to throw their spears/bow and arrows and kill poor defenseless animals-So no brain needed there The Gatherers(Veggies) Had to think before gathering the food-See which one was the right fruit/veggie which wasn't poisonous etc,Save the food against climate factors etc. So the study is 100% right
