Gambit
He owns us. No question about it. Awesome performance from the best fast bowler in the world. 7 for 51. Link to comment
urbestfriend
People who think Steyn gets his wicket because he bowls phaaaaast are delusional! He is the best swing bowler around and he swings it with 140+ kph speed makes all the difference. Link to comment
hatja_tau
Damn he's good!, btw any rain expected? :D Link to comment

Shane
Why is this guy so dangerous in test matches and quite mediocre in limited overs cricket His Mindset or The Batting Team's Mindset or The Pitches. Or a combination of the above. Link to comment
Karan114
28 wickets at 16 against us, bloody hell But top class bowler, no two ways about it. Link to comment
hatja_tau
Now expect a minefield in Kolkata! :giggle: Link to comment
King
Bloody good bowler, a definite 500 test wicket bowler. To take 7 wickets in India on a 3rd day deck is quite an awesome achievement. I don't understand why other teams come with spinners in their ranks when playing in India, they should in fact load up 4 express bowlers and attack all the time. Link to comment
urbestfriend
Now expect a minefield in Kolkata! :giggle: Minefield could backfire with Steyn is swinging with this pace :nervous: Link to comment
Don Sharma
I admire his strike rate more than anything else. In an era supposedly dominated by the bat a SR of 39.94 is quite amazing. Link to comment
coffee_rules
great clean action, treat to watch him bowl! Link to comment
Watson87
Greatest test bowler of South Africa of all time. Also deserves to be 1 ranking in ICC. The other bowlers in the list are way overrated. Steyn I wish when you retire you become the bowling coach of India and kick Prasad out of the team Link to comment
zen
Steyn has 193 wkts. So by the time, this tour is over he would have played 38 tests and if he gets to 200 wkts in this series then he would be one of the quickest to get to that landmark, placing him on par with Lillee and Younis. Player Matches Taken for 200 wickets CV Grimmet (Australia) 36 Dennis Lillee (Australia) 38 Waqar Younis (Pakistan) 38 IT Botham (England) 41 SCG MacGill (Australia) 41 MD Marshall (West Indies) 42 SK Warne (Australia) 42 AA Donald (South Africa) 42 M Muralitharan (Sri Lanka) 42 AV Bedser (England) 44 RJ Hadlee (New Zealand) 44 J Garner (West Indies) 44 Imran Khan (Pakistan) 45 CEL Ambrose (West Indies) 45 GD McGrath (Australia) 45 Link to comment
Riley's Girl
All I can say is: Thank heavens he's on our side! Magnificent performance from Steyn. :hatsoff: Link to comment
Fontaine
Split Seam on ball when Steyn was bowling? Anyone else have any info what Steyn is talking about here: Dale Steyn: "We have been speaking about these kind of wickets. We wanted to adapt as quickly as possible. We hit the right areas with the same intensity. On some days you can bowl the best of your life and not pick wickets and then you have some days. There was a ball change (around tea time) the seam split open and we came back after tea and the ball looped around a bit. It was a good thing (change of ball). The bowlers said we have enough fuel in the tank and that was the discussion (behind declaration). " Was the ball swinging/moving off more because of this? If the seam split open then shouldn't the umpires have changed the ball? Link to comment
diegovegaz
he bowled brilliantly, but i'd blame the batsmen for leaving the inswingers Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Not just pace.. the swing he was getting was beautiful. Nothing unconventional, no ball scratching. Just the conventional swing. Bowled excellently. Link to comment
