maniac Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 The Dark Knight rises.....what a fitting Conclusion to the series.....Enjoyed it more than the Dark Knight.....Glad to see the ' Robin' character getting a mention
maniac Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 watched TDKR.. Btaman Begins >>>> TDK >> TDKR I would say Batman Begins>TDKR>TDK.....I think DK got more hype due to the sad demise of Heath Ledger....not taking anything away from his performance which was brilliant but I think sadly his death made it even more legendary... I can watch BBegins and TDKR again but TDK gets boring with 2nd viewing
akshayxyz Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 just came back from DKR .....it's official... DK > DKR simply because of Joker's excellence. I felt disconnect with the emotions being portrayed in this movie...with DK' date= I felt connected. DKR is however an epic film...it's grand and much darker...every scene has been done in a grand fashion but it frails in comparison to DK. Anne Hathaway looked so fineee...uff mamaa my rating 8.5/10 and yes it is more like Batman Begins II ...also read somewhere that Christian Bale refused to do this movie if 'Robin' was involved exactly the way I felt. Good, but not great.. not on the same level as TDK.

rkt.india Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 exactly the way I felt. Good, but not great.. not on the same level as TDK. Dont think Batman series is the best of Nolan. When we have watched films like Inception and Prestige. You find yourself in awe of those films that is not the case with TDK or TDKR.

Prestige is the best :two_thumbs_up: [TDK most will be in awe because of Joker charecter..its not easy to create such a charecter]

When we compare TDK and TDKR - TDK did have more wow moments.. in fact, I did not feel 'awed' at any moment in TDKR.
audioman Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Memento is easily easily Nolan's best work in my books. Closely following by his first film, Following. I saw TDKR too. I would give it a 7/10, TDK an 8/10 and BB 9/10. Even I think Begins was the best of the lot. This last movie should have been called Batman Ends I feel, it was more in the feel of Begins than TDK. All in all, a great trilogy. Good end, although I had a couple of real issues with TDKR. The climax was blah, and had such a seen-that feeling. Plus, 23 "DAYS"? Are you serious?
Mariyam Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 memento I didn't like this movie. Not even remotely as good as the buzz that it created.

The Outsider Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 I didn't like this movie. Not even remotely as good as the buzz that it created. Yeah. I feel it is vastly overrated. When I watched Ghajini the reality finally dawned upon me how Nolan had missed the central concept of the movie which was exploited and showcased by Aamir Khan. Did you watch that song with Aamir Khan walking around bare chested - why didn't Nolan film that on Pierce? Memento was a dumb movie and Aamir Khan showed how to make a better and more palatable version of it, in fact I won't be surprised if Aamir Khan had this idea all along and discussed it in a party after a few drinks to leak it out to Nolan.
Yoda-esque Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 I didn't like this movie. Not even remotely as good as the buzz that it created. Its a personal choice sure. But this film has some outstanding screenplay (Memento and GroundHog Day have two of the best screenplays IMO).
coffee_rules Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 ^Add Shawshank Redemption to the list. My favs too.
