Karan114 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Well played Pakistan. Given all that had happened in the last eight months, a semi-final place was a fine achievement.
coffee_rules Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Riaz..Great find. Want to see him bowl in tests. Afridi magnanimous wishing India good luck in the finals. Get rid of all bad seeds like Asif, Aamir, Butt., etc . and you can still bounce back in cricket. Have a bumpy Autorickshaw ride back home...
varun Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Afridi: Great attitude, and his Sorry at the end was a bit heartbreaking. Very sincere.
punjabi_khota Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Go **** yourself Pakistan. And yes, commiserations :phehehe:
vvvslaxman Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 They raised their game big time with bowling in big games . But any time they raise their bowling proportionately their batting and fielding go down big time.
ravishingravi Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Well played Pakistan. Given all that had happened in the last eight months' date=' a semi-final place was a fine achievement.[/quote'] ditto
DomainK Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Wahab Riaz, great bowling. And yes, Afridi was very emotional in the end and that interview was very gentlemanly. Pakistan actually played well in the tournament. They played much better than anyone expected them to.
NareshK Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 To be honest, its Pakistan's bad luck to play against India in SF because we are the only team that could have stopped them. They looked like they were so passionate and determined right from the start that I felt no team could have stopped them, especially because Australia, South Africa, England are not going to be tough to beat in sub continent conditions. So the only teams that could have stopped Pakistan is India or Sri Lanka. But they never lost to SL in World Cup. So it had to be India.:two_thumbs_up:
zen Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Well played Pak! .... I liked the way Afridi played with josh. I must say I am turning into an Afridi fan :nice:
gs Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Wonder what Amir Sohail is going through now? :giggle:
coffee_rules Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Like the way Afridi, Riaz, Ajmal, Hafeez played. Let down by others. Can see why Afridi is so popular. He plays his cricket hard.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Wahab Riaz, great bowling. And yes, Afridi was very emotional in the end and that interview was very gentlemanly. Pakistan actually played well in the tournament. They played much better than anyone expected them to. i disagree. their team is garbage. had SL won the toss, they would have mauled them. australia just played poor cricket, not a well deserved win. and lets not forget the 184 all out in 43 overs against the mighty canadians. they were lucky to play the only team in the tournament that was crappier than them, the windies. any other team would have put them out of their misery in the QFs itself. this was like Kenya reaching the semis in 2003. they tried hard today, played the match like a the biggest game of their lives, but once india had 250+ on the board their spineless batting was always going to find things difficult. cheap talk and fake confidence doesnt win games. lets look forward to the final, where we meet a quality team. the hype led ppl to believe that this would be a close contest but it wasnt. anyway, india hasnt played their best cricket so far, and i have a feeling we'll get that perfect game on saturday.
zen Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Wonder what Amir Sohail is going through now? :giggle: He probably has to scapegoats ready - YK and Misbah :P Both of them dropped Tendulkar and then went on to waste too many balls .... I won't be surprised if they are even accused of match-fixing :winky:
Sachin=GOD Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 :hatsoff::hatsoff: to Pakistan. Played extremely well throughout the tournament. Showed surprising unity in the squad and whether you like him or not, one thing must be said - Afridi lead the team prett well and showed great calmn even when the fielders were dropping Goddy again and again and again. It was a team effort from Pakistan in this World Cup - there was'nt any one person who stood out, almost all the players performed here and there. p.s. we still beat you in the World Cup :finger:
Switchblade Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Congrats Pak on reaching the semis you were gracious in ur defeat
maniac Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Good job Afridi in maintaing grace in defeat...Never expected that but credit where it's due.
riya Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Well played Pakistan. They played good consistent cricket throughout the tournament. Again Afridi was brilliant today.Never showed any nervousness or tension in the field. And yes that speech was very good indeed.
NareshK Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 lets look forward to the final, where we meet a quality team. the hype led ppl to believe that this would be a close contest but it wasnt. anyway, india hasnt played their best cricket so far, and i have a feeling we'll get that perfect game on saturday. This is true. I didnt feel nervous before today's match at all because I know Paki batting lineup is crap. If India had posted anything above 250, we are going to win. But I feel Sri Lanka has a better batting line up and bowling attack than Pak and we need to play out of our skins to beat them.
imran666 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 thank u guys ...hope u guys do well in the final ....i dont see anyone stoping india from lifting the trophy now ...... thx again for the good wishes ...
