I like the way he played the short pitch deliveries. Gave a good reply to english bowlers who thought every indian players struggles to play short pitch deliveries.

His FC, list A and T20 record shows that he is lot better player for 3 day and 5 day cricket. Only thing to notice today was his ability to play different kinds of deliveries. He was not slogging.

+ 1 Good test players can do well in the shorter formats & i disagree that he was flashy ...that was one of the rare classy innings you will see in T20s . The only slog was the one one he actually got out for .

His batting style is typical Australian, kinda resembles Clarke and Ponting. Way he shifts his weight and his fluency is kinda Ponting.

He also took Nathan horwitz apart in a practise match. I have high hopes for him. Rahane, pujara, and Rohit sharma are the future of the indian batting line. These 3 should be given chances ahead of Raina or kohli. Plus Rahane often plays as an opener in first class cricket so we might se him as back up opener in australia with pujara playing at number 6.

Let's see how he does in the upcoming games. Badrinath was looking good after the T20 match in West Indies, but failed in later ODIs. However, I hope he will do wonders for Team India. We need some truly outstanding batting by our youngsters. If our team can score 300+ every ODI match, we will definitely win atleast 2 out of 5 matches.

He is only positive from this T20 match. India should give him chance in the top order during this ODI series and see how it goes.

Dont know why we played so many non-T20 players in this match- Papa, Rahaane, RD, Kohli, etc. They are not T20 materials.
