rkt.india Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Was tired after 15 mins: Yuvraj Singh Yuvraj Singh took a major step towards getting back to active cricket when he batted at the National Cricket Academy here on Tuesday. Apart from Yuvraj, Irfan Pathan also had batting stint, while Virender Sehwag trained indoors. Later, both Yuvraj and Ishant Sharma, who underwent an ankle surgery, did a few laps. Virat Kohli and Praveen Kumar were also spotted in the afternoon. Ūt was a big achievement to get to the nets. It felt really good, IÃÎ happy, he said. Ūt was not a bad session, considering I was training for the first time after six months. I was tired after 15 minutes. However, I am sure every new day will be better. Obviously, my body will tire quickly due to what I have gone through. But I will keep increasing the practice load daily and my body will come back to normal quickly, he said. Å®y confidence level will improve with training. I am sure my body will get better if I spend more time here; it will reach 100 per cent fitness. I will also be playing a practice match soon, Yuvraj informed. http://www.dnaindia.com/sport/report_was-tired-after-15-mins-yuvraj-singh_1707223 Will be tough for him to get back by T20 WC, though lets have our fingers crossed.
Sean Bradley Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Good Luck to you Champ, Indian T20 and ODI side is half good without Yuvi in the line up...A true legend :hatsoff:
Lord Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 dont rush it.even the fittest struggle in Lanka.target England series instead
msb1991 Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 If he suffered no lung scarring, he should be back fit in no time. Tired after 15 minutes will soon be tired after 30 and tired after an hour and then, before long, he'll find he is just as fit as before.
Vilander Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 if he makes it to the playing field that quick it would be nothing short of a miracle. Imagine a played who has faced death and come out of it. He wont be pressured by the prospect of a fast bouncer to throat or prospect of loosing a WC, his attitude could be epic.

b555 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Chances of Yuvraj getting back into the team What do you think are the realistic chances of Yuvraj Singh getting back intot he team , I mean both T20 as well as ODI. tests are a gone prospect for him I feel and with current performances of our team in Lanka, we don't know whme to remove to accommodate Sachin if and when he plays, that's how tight it is. In these circumstances, do u think Yuvi has a chance to make it back to the team?
Sean Bradley Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 of course, yuvi picks himself up, no one drops or picks him, the guy single handedly won us the world cup. :hatsoff:
BeautifulGame Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Even if Yuvi returns as 70% the player he was before injury he still is better than any of our middle order players bar Dhoni. If we have all our players available then our lineup should be Sachin / Sehwag Gambhir Kohli Yuvi Dhoni Raina Pathan
Number Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 All rounder spot. Our best spinner in ODIs. 6 batsmen+Yuvraj then 4 specialist bowlers (IKP,Ashwin,Zak,Yadav/Dinda/Munaf).

SLICKR392 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Yes. Drop Nohit and Yuvi is back. Moreover like a bonus. You get to drop Rohit and you get Yuvi instead.
JaFanatic Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 with yuvi and irfan we have two allrounders he may take some time to get his form back
