Sachin=GOD Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 One of the most commercial temples I have been to. There is a restaurant inside the temple premises and you get everything from pepsi/coke and burgers. :agree: I've been to ISKON in many Indian cities and everywhere the food is great.

I don't know what's the best word to describe this. May be the word is "ghinn" in Hindi. That could never let me enjoy the food at temples. I still till date can't eat and try to avoid and stay from the temple food. If someone brings in "prasad" then I just have a little bit of whatever it is just because it's "prasad" One of the main reason I said "ghinn" is because of the dirt. I don't think we keep it too clean, the way people serve in Temples and stuff.

In all these years, I have visited the temple just 3 times or 4. Yes, it's kind of shame. I think we should go more often, but then here iN U.S they are at a distance that one don't feel like going which is not the case back home in India.

Tendulkar_Bhai Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 There is an amazing ISKON Temple in Watford in the UK, its a massive secluded retreat type of place the house/land was donated by George Harrison, their aartis and events are like nothing else you will see in temples and full of energy and noise!
Debutant Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 My parents took me once when I was in school in Bhubaneswar. Haven't visited any temples for last 7 or 8 years. Have heard about the food a lot though.
