Years back when I first saw Jaddu bat, and he was just a kid back then, I just knew immediately he would play for India srs.

I think Ravindra Jadeja's perfect position is 12th man ... Nowadays at least one senior player goes off the field when fielding (either Sehwag or Tendulkar or Zaheer) and thats where we see Jadeja at his best. He could be the greatest 12th man in the history of the game!

Another test, another Jadeja 50 and the trademark celebration.  He may be ordinary with the bat in LOIs, but is definitely handy in tests.  World #1 bowler at the moment.  Arguably in the mix for #1 fielder as well.  Gets a lot of hate for his limitations.  Never enough credit for what he brings to the table.  

 

Now for him to run through these lefty kangaroos and wrap up the series.  For a change, he may take the Man of the Series away from Ash this time.

He's just *ing magic. Such a watchable cricketer and has improved so much.

 

There was talk on here to drop him overseas in favor of Jayant Yadav. He's incredible.

I am really impressed with the improvement Jadeja has shown this season, both as a bowler as wel as a test batsman.

 

He is turning  his left-armers more now and that has made him more dangerous. In the first test of this series, he was not bowling his trade-mark arm balls ( fast sliders ) enough....but has rectified it largely now.

 

It is very heartening that he is picking wickets on flat tracks.

He somehow gives off the perception that he's not a thinking bowler, but he's very smart.  Invariably figures out a way to set up the batsman.  Before he bowled Lyon off the one that turned and took out off stump, he almost had him by spearing in a yorker.  Most importantly, he has the control and accuracy to execute the variations that he wants to.  And puts in the shoulder and effort to give minimal time to the batsman to react off the pitch.   A bowler who knows his game and knows how to get the most out of it even if he may not give the most erudite interviews about it (Not to take a shot a Ash - enjoy his comments and his willingness to share his personal thought process).

If this home season is anything to go by, India will have to play Jadeja as the main spinner when we tour. He has the x-factor and makes things happen even when there's nothing in the pitch.
