Best bowler got dropped?

I don't question his place in the side. He deserves a spot. Just that projecting him as our ACE spinner is not agreeable. He is not. He is a good supporting spinner. Ashwin and Ojha complemented each other well hitherto. They should be persisted with using Jadeja as a surprising element. Jaddu definitely has something that neither Ashwin nor Ojha have. Pace on the ball. So all 3 can complement each other in Indian conditions.
Jadeja is nothing but a darter on these pitches his consistency has helped him.But batsman will get used to his one dimensional bowling .

I don't think it is that hard to get used to bowling of Ashwin or Ojha either. In these conditions his darts are more effective than Bhajji's darts. Also remember Jadeja absolutely owned England in the one day series. They carefully blocked him out in the Nagpur test. He bowled a total of 34 maidens.

Seriously dude, do you have some issues with certain players?? I see you go after certain players like they killed someone you knew. Jadeja has done well ... praise him ... why say he would be sorted out. Yes he maybe sorted out but until he does, let yourself enjoy the success he gets. Atleast he does not dart down the legs like Bhajji, he bowls accurately and his strongest point is his unpredictably. Batsmen will never know which one will turn and which wont.

Bhajji's darts dont work because he sprays the ball and does not even turn the ball.

Pragyan Ojha is a classical spinner and has done well but he needs to develop a bit more, vary pace and angle of delivery a bit also should have a good arm ball , he is a bit one dimensional, as opposed to Swann who has learnt the art of being successful anywhere, as he turms the ball long way, is consistent and varies pace especially based on surface plus has a good straighter one and is aggressive.

Ohja will always be support bowler, he never can lead an attack,He simply does not have enough variations to consistently run thru batting line ups. Ashwin has yet to show he can get people out like he did Steve Smith consistently so far he has been preying on the lack of application/Skill shown by visiting batsmen.

I disagree. Ojha was the best only for one series that too only early part of the series. Remaining series Ashwin was better. Difference between Ojha and Ashwin is, when Ashwin clicks he invariably routs the opposition in a match. In the last couple of years top 4 out of 5 match hauls were achieved by Ashwin, top 3 by Ashwin. India won 3 of them. One test almost won but we score levelled on last day. Ashwin's problem is when he is bad he is really bad. Hence the overall stats are somewhat even Top 8 match hauls are occupied either by Ashwin or Ojha. It proves Ashwin is a better match winner. Hence he won 3 man of the matches (mind you he didn't win MOM despite his 12 wicket haul in chennai), Ojha had none. Ashwin 12 wickets vs NZ Ashwin 12 wickets vs OZ Ashwin 9 wickets vs WI Ojha 9 wickets vs Eng Ashwin 9 wickets vs WI Ojha 7 wickets vs WI Ojha 7 wickets vs NZ Ojha 7 wickets vs WI
I agree with you that Ashwin is India's best spin option despite the fiasco he had against England, but in the same breath Ojha was India's best bowler over the pat season and dropping him was lunacy. Here are the major contenders for the spin bowling slots off the top of my head - Ashwin, Ojha, Rasool, Mishra, Harbhajan, Jadeja, Chawla. I've listed them in the order I feel they can be most effective across all surfaces. I don't believe in this horses for courses policy for test matches. You need to pick your best side, play them across all tracks, and get rid of bits and pieces cricketers. The only change for tests in a fully established team should be going in with the extra spinner or seam bowler depending on conditions.

this is fair assessment,Ashwin may never reach Bhajji's height when he was demolishing teams at home.We should continue to look to improve our spin cupboard with guys like Rasool and be content with ashwin and ojha.

Ojha is our best pure spinner at the moment. Ashwin and Jadeja have done better in this series but they will both struggle abroad because they don't turn the ball enough. In subcontinental conditions you can get away with subtle variations in bounce and line because you get the natural purchase off the wicket. Outside of the subcontinent (ignoring batting and looking purely at their bowling), between Ojha, Ashwin and Jadeja if I had to pick 1 spinner I'd pick Ojha. The people saying "Oh he hasn't taken wickets so he's not our best bowler" ... Since his return to the Indian side in 2011, he has taken 57 wickets in 11 matches. Up until recently he was our highest ranked Test bowler. In the last Test he was all over Brad Haddin and bowled some absolute rippers to him and was unlucky not to get him out.

Does Ojha turn the ball more than Ashwin? Ojha's strength is that he is a left arm spinner and right handers will always find it hard to face a left arm spinner on a track where the ball is turning from the stumps.

Offcourse i have issues .I do not think jadeja is long term bet as an allrounder. He struggles in india while batting so abroad its going to even more difficult. Now come to his bowling he is a darter who rarely spins the ball or gets any bounce,He depends on natural variation offered by the pitch to his credit he has been accurate on these types of pitches. We will need a no 7 batsman even in india against good sides.

The guy has had an outstanding career so far. Even this series is proof of you being wrong. He is only improving with each game and then you make such statements. Bhajji only had one or two goof years when was demolishing teams as you say.
