At least he performs in his primary role which is more than can be said for most of the team.

By that logic, Sachin should never be criticised for his life. In the last 2.5 years, Dhoni has scored more runs playing at no. 7 than Sehwag and at a better avg. . No Dhoni is nothing great but just shows how crap the fatso has been.

Secondly,Dhoni gets his fair share of flak which he richly deserves for being a complete moron in last couple of years.I was unaware of this fact that players should get the flak as per how they are on different planes from each other.Sehwag has been a complete joke of a batsman overseas in last 3-4 years,even Dhoni who belongs to a much inferior plane has outbatted him.Problem with Sehwag is his careless,lazy,nonchalant ,bordering on lack of effort attitude which he displays on the field while fielding,batting and running between the wicket,which irritates and infuriates the fans. His position in the team as keeper is nowhere as often questioned as our opening combination. His whining about pitches, apathy about losses & absurd selection logic are criticized after every single game but no, its not like he's the worst keeper as you might want to portray him.

His keeping was pathetic on the English and Australian tours - I can recall at least 4-5 occasions when the ball flew between him and first slip on those tours and many more chances which fell short of the slips because kaptaan kool was standing half way to the boundary. He missed a couple of chances in the New Zealand and England tests at the very least. His keeping has been abysmal over the last two years.

Were people talking about Sehwag's bowling when I made that comment? Was it the first time that another player has been mentioned in a thread meant for some other player? Will it be the last?

It's definitely not and I have been guilty of it myself many times but once pointed out you chose to continue - at least I felt that. I think the least we can do is stick to the person under discussion, no? I think bringing Dhoni into discussion on this thread or Sehwag into discussion on Dhoni's thread just makes the experience a bit on the lower side. Two wrongs don't make a right - What do you think?

If he missed that, means most WKs today would have missed that and that was a tough chance.
