adi B
Vijay looked good against pace today on a pitch with zip and bounce. Looked very comfotable which bodes well for SA. Pujara also looked against pace today, with both showing good backfoot play But looked suspect against shilligford the spinner yeah unexpectedly :cantstop: shillingford will most often have his number due to the extra which mooli hates Link to comment

GrandMasterSaxy
Though Vijay is not scoring enough runs but I find him elegant and technically a sound batsman. Link to comment
Cricketics
Though Vijay is not scoring enough runs but I find him elegant and technically a sound batsman. Vijay when fielding in whites with blue baggy cap, does look like a pro test player. No doubt. Link to comment
fineleg
Though Vijay is not scoring enough runs but I find him elegant and technically a sound batsman. :hysterical: Technically sound :D The only one somewhat sound is Chepu. Rest incl vijay, dhawan, kohli, rohit sharma, dhoni all technically weak Link to comment
GrandMasterSaxy
Not sure of your definition of being a technically strong batsman. For me it's Pujara, Sachin, Rohit, Vijay and Kohli :hysterical: Technically sound :D The only one somewhat sound is Chepu. Rest incl vijay, dhawan, kohli, rohit sharma, dhoni all technically weak Link to comment

He has his own weird kind of shots which with which he handles every bowler pretty well. Only time will how he does on swing seamy turf in South Africa, but he does find himself comfortable with his that style of play. And I am sure, his relaxed approach does annoy bowler a lot like how Dravid used to annoy most bowlers for not responding to their gestures. Link to comment

That technique will be suspect on seaming pitches according to him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment

Ibes
Getting ready for this by watching every run he has scored outside India. One of teh best openers for a top 3 test team. I support this man. Game on Saffies. Link to comment

maniac
Mv might not get a bog score but I think he will stick around a little longer than expect.if he lasts 10; 15 overs that's good enough Link to comment

Zanjeer
I think Rahane would do a much better job as an opening batsman in test matches. Even sehwag was a middle order batsman who was asked to open by sourav and he did a phenomenal job . Same thing could be done with rahane if Vijay fails. Link to comment

We need six batsman in SA not 5 bowlers. Jadeja is useless in those conditions. Link to comment

We have plenty of batsman who can play in the middle order. Link to comment
tweaker
Vijay career will depend on how he plays against Steyn & Co in the 4 inning in SA. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
Did well today, as good a low score as it gets:hysterical: No seriously he saw of both new ball bowlers. He looked comfortable. Against short ball did well, ducked it Was not playing and missing all the time. Solid Maybe he may do ok overseas? Link to comment
