And if such a blatantly offensive and stereotypical and larger than life character wasn't bad enough, Mithun even won a Filmfare and a national award for the role. :yikes: :mad: And all this during the tenure of PV Narsimha Rao, who himself was a southie. A bit of nitpicking, but it was probably in the VP Singh/Chandrashekhar tenure.

Debutant Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Here in Bangalore, Holi celebration is very subdued. We don't even get a holiday. Its like a normal day here. I have taken 2 days off and going have a blast with my friends :yay:

Not many Telugu characters make it to Bollywood either. :(( From the top of my head, the only Telugu speaking characters that I can recollect are: Pralaynath Gendaswamy, Sunil Dutt in the chatur naar badi hoshiyar wala movie, the elephant (haathi mere saathi), Manisha koirala (from jaani dushman) and jadoo (from koi mil gaya).
